Obama Now More Disliked Than Bush At The End Of His Second Term

Share |

Jim Hoft compares that ugly (for Obama) Rasmussen poll yesterday to Bush’s numbers from the end of his term. The result? Bush was less disliked.

Barack Obama’s approval index number dropped to a new low today.
Rasmussen reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).

At the end of his second term President George W. Bush had a 43% disapproval rating.

Obama has made more people angry in one year than Bush managed to do in eight years. Not that you’re going to get that impression from the fawning media coverage.

The Left’s spin on this will be that Obama accomplished in less than one year what it took President Bush 8 years to do.

    Neiman,

My apologies. I just now saw your comment. Thank you for the compliment. I am honored.

(I’m also on my way out to the gym to “beat up” an assortment of machines for a couple hours. Its similar to our rhetorical exercises here with the lefties… except that with the machines you can always crank up the resistance or increase the weights to make the effort more worthwhile.)

I’ve come up with only two analogous situations, neither a direct comparison constitutionally. The first is income taxes, and the second is Selective Service registration. Both have been challenged repeatedly in the courts unsuccessfully, but neither on the grounds you’ve suggested here as regards the so-called “health care reform” plan being perpetrated by the Dems. Health care and the “commerce clause” can’t really be said to rise to the level of national defense.

Incidentally, that ex-pat British host was Mark Steyn, whose wit and wisdom far exceeds those of any 5 Democrats you can name. In fact, when you think about, just about all of the “best and brightest” are now on/in The Right. Those on the Left fall into one of two categories… Thugs or Slugs!

It did’t take him long to accomplish something. The entire country must be racist and it’s all Bush’s fault. I guess I am a racist, what is not to like – trillions in deficit increases, crappy health care reform, dithering while troops are at risk, bowing to foriegn leaders, Cap and trade, installation of Fascist policies, Corruption and thugocrats. Thank goodness the teleprompter is still telling him to blame Bush for everthing. Time for real Americans to take back the country – Vote in 2010.

yeah a pathetic 1 term president (worse than Carter) and crappy heathcare “reform”. History will only laugh and cringe at Obama and his presidency just like everybody laughs and cringes at you everytime you post something.

In our area the throw the Democrats out wave is building to tsunami proportions. Disapproval amongst retirees is over 70% and climbing.

I guess those death panels in the bill are being found out.

Very funny Bat! By the way did you ever comment anywhere on the Constitutionality questions? I am looking for your wisdom!

The Democrats and Lord Obama are: (a) Willing to take a big political hit as the price for getting this monstrosity passed and they think being seen as the brave Congress that passed the most sweeping social legislation since FDR and Social Security will insure them a very honored place in U.S. history. Once it is passed, as Senator Harkin said, health insurance will be viewed as a new civil right and no one, not even a filibuster proof and veto proof GOP Congress will ever have the guts to repeal it or even roll it back. (b) Obama is counting on the economy recovering somewhat, unemployment to get much lower and health care to be seen as a civil right to carry him to reelection and the Democrats back in control of Congress by 2012.

Last night on Hannity of Fox, there was an ex-patriot British host and guest and they both said this will be much, much worse than socialized medicine anywhere in Europe and that America, like Europe, will become used to a steady 10% unemployment rate forever.

  13. sayanything-4416 on December 23rd, 2009 at 3:01 am

Yeah, but no matter what, he’ll still be president and health reform will be passed.

Your index didn’t even exist until the end of last year. But cling to it. It’s all you have left.

As his unpopularity continues to grow watch for him to become more and more petulant. Obama has skin about as thick as tissue paper and can’t stand it when he is criticized, even when he is wrong, which he never admits. He will lash out at anyone and everyone and try to put the blame on anybody but his own shoulders. He is a perfect example of a total lack of integrity, character and leadership.

Must be the approval deficit he inherited from Bush!

  17. MarkSD on December 23rd, 2009 at 2:48 am

    Is someone out there surprised?

Obama is just living up to his promises, a product of his downfall.
