For me, the price isn’t the problem. It’s the hypocrisy of Obama wanting us all to drive around in glorified go karts while he and his fellow liberal elites hop on private jets for date night.
Update: Russel Roberts makes a good point. Obama has told us that government spending stimulates the economy, right? So why not be proud of how much money he blew in New York?

    What the left seems to be ignoring is that we really don’t care about the cost, other than in the context of how Obama has told all of us (including his own constituents) how we have to go on the austerity plan while he and Michelle yuk it up like royalty. As to comparing this incident with GWB, it would help if you remember that he never told us to cut-back, in fact, he told us to get out there and spend (didn’t agee with it, but it is what he said), no double standard, no hypocrisy, no the rules don’t apply to me because I’m Obama. Personally, I could care less what the cost was, just don’t keep trying to tell me the country is out of money and we peons have to live the life of subservient peasants while Obama and company live life large.
