Obama May Be “The One,” But He’s No Britney Spears
A rather sad commentary on the status of America’s priorities.
Yesterday we noted that Barack Obama ranks third in the number of Yahoo searches for 2008, putting him behind Britney Spears.
We also noted that the top search terms for people landing on this blog were various combinations of Britney and Spears.
All of which is evidence enough for us to officially crown Britney Spears the most influential media force in 2008.
In a related commentary, political blogs like this one get a lot of internet traffic, but even the biggest ones are light weights compared to the entertainment blogs that specialize in posting paparazi photos of celebrity panty shots.
And you wonder how people like Barack Obama get elected.
