Obama Lied, Grandma Died

At Obama’s staged AARP event here, the president made the claim that nobody is taking away anyone’s Medicare benefits.
How can that be? Medicare is broke. It’s going to need massive new funding. But Obama and his Democrat minions in Congress are planning on taking $300 Billion out of Medicare and Medicaid to pay to cover tens of millions of uninsured people. That’s one of their main funding mechanisms for their government takeover of our health care.

President Barack Obama Saturday proposed an additional $313 billion in cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and other programs to pay for health care reforms expected to cost about $1 trillion over the next decade.

I’m sure all of the seasoned citizens are going to be happy to find out that they are going to be denied benefits so that the Democrats can use the money to pay for coverage of illegal aliens.
No wonder why Obama’s in such a hurry to pass his takeover bill. He knows that once people find out what’s in it it’s finished.

Calling people bigots and saying they are full of hate is a curious way of persuading people. Oh, that’s right, you aren’t here to persuade anyone.

In case you haven’t been keeping up with current events, we are still fighting the war even though Zero has been in charge for eight months now with on change. Did that slip your mind? Inconvient but true. Now go away Daron, the adults are talking and you don’t add anything of substance just a lot of invective. You aren’t even amusing at using it. If you must stay look at Dino. absolutly sir i will never visit this site again, but for your knowledge, i am not a child i am gulf war vet, that puts me in my 40′s and educated on the circumtances of war. As then i had respect for our president and still do for the first Bush as the second Bush goes, i gave the man a chance ( more than 8 mos mind you), and never have i had so much disrespect for this country or the man who holds the office of president as this site does! Now to all of you out there full of “it” try reciting the serenity prayer. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, the courage to change the things i can and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen thanks

Here’s a thought on how to fix medicare. Let’s take away the exhorbitant salaries we continue to pay politicians (on the tax payers dime) and let them be on medicare with the rest of us. They don’t pay into medicare, but voted themselves a continued salary after no longer serving. Not just a percentage, but ridiculous salaries. Why are THEY better than WE THE PEOPLE? Maybe if they have to live like we do, I bet medicare would get fixed quick!!!

Just wait until all senior’s find out that we’ll eventually be without a suplemental insurance company and a lot of things will be out of pocket..I know this for a fact as I have a great primary insurance and Medicare is my secondary..I also have Crohns Disease which resulted in an illeostomy..My insurance lets me have as many boxes of my appliance as I need..According to Medicare I only need 1 box. How does Medicare know that I only need one..Shouldn’t my doctor know how many boxes I need? This is crazy..So if my primary insurance is gone and they fashion this after Medicare I will have over $300.00 out of pocket expense on one item alone..

Obama has told us, repeatedly, that two thirds of the cost of his so-called “health care reform” will come from “savings” gleaned from Medicare and Medicaid. Anyone who thinks that cutting hundreds of billions of dollars from Medicare and Medicaid without adversely effecting the medical care provided to beneficiaries is, to put it kindly, cognitively challenged. Especially since what he is proposing is to add tens of millions of health care consumers to the rolls… not to mention all the health insurance benefit plans that will disappear as carriers drop out of the market and businesses large and small cancel their coverage and just pay the tax instead.

The reason the Democrats in Congress are at each others’ throat over this issue is because the voters, particularly the seniors, back home have seen through lies and absurd promises, and recognize that the change being proposed is not what they were hoping for. Two plus two does not equal seven.

Bat this is like cutting the YF-17 program and saying we saved 100 million by cutting the YF-program. You then rename it the YF-17 the F-18 and no one is the wiser.

How are you going to “save” money if you take from Peter (Medicaid and Medicare) to pay Paul (the new crap). You are still spending the money just under a different name. The scary thing is there are people dumb enough to fall for that crap.
