Obama Is Wasting His Money In Red States

The media continues to hype Obama’s “50 state strategy” which has him spending significant amounts of campaign resources in places like Montana and North Dakota. The media has even given Obama some adoring coverage with regard to his polling in these states. And it is true, at least in my home state of North Dakota, that Obama has polled pretty closely to McCain so far this year.
But here’s the thing that puts a monkey wrench in Obama’s plan to turn these red states blue: Since November of last year Obama has gone from being three points ahead of McCain in North Dakota polling to three points behind him.
Meaning that for all those resources Obama has spent in North Dakota his polling numbers have gone down. Which tells me that the more North Dakotans get to know Obama the less they like him.

I do get a kick watching the herd of Connecticut licensed cars and the Volvos parked outside of the Ob’Messaiah office in Fargo. Not too many high milage models, most probably rated about 25mpg.

North Dakota is insignificant with only 3 electoral votes and a state that voted Republican since 1968. Obama shouldn’t spend that much money there.

Slackers always talk the big talk, but they never follow through.
That’s what happens when your constituency is made up of a majority of them.

Election ’08: Selling the product. Ad placement 101. Mantras, repetition, and conditioning. Melodrama, makeup, and smiles. Hearsay, theresay, and horse hay.
