Mark Steyn describes John Pilger as “the fanatically anti-American Aussie leftie”. Here’s a sample:

Returning to Texas, I am struck again by those so unlike the redneck stereotype, in spite of the burden of a form of brainwashing placed on most Americans from a tender age: that theirs is the most superior society in the world, and all means are justified, including the spilling of copious blood, in maintaining that superiority.
That is the subtext of Barack Obama’s “oratory”. He says he wants to build up US military power; and he threatens to ignite a new war in Pakistan, killing yet more brown-skinned people.

…Two years ago, this anti-war vote installed a Democratic majority in Congress, only to watch the Democrats hand over more money to George W Bush to continue his blood-fest. For his part, the “anti-war” Obama voted to give Bush what he wanted.

Obama is a hypocrite. Move along! Nothing to see here!

…Obama’s first two crucial appointments represent a denial of the wishes of his supporters on the principal issues on which they voted. The vice-president-elect, Joe Biden, is a proud warmaker and Zionist. Rahm Emanuel, who is to be the all-important White House chief of staff, is a fervent “neoliberal” devoted to the doctrine that led to the present economic collapse and impoverishment of millions. He is also an “Israel-first” Zionist who served in the Israeli army and opposes meaningful justice for the Palestinians – an injustice that is at the root of Muslim people’s loathing of the US and the spawning of jihadism.

Okay! So, the guy is off the conspiracy wacko charts! He’d still fit right in any Kos/Move-On/NYT Editorial board meeting!

…The Observer, which supported Bush’s war in Iraq, echoing his fabricated evidence, now announces, without evidence, that “America has restored the world’s faith in its ideals”. These “ideals”, which Obama will swear to uphold, have overseen, since 1945, the destruction of 50 governments, including democracies, and 30 popular liberation movements, causing the deaths of countless men, women and children.
None of this was uttered during the election campaign. Had that been allowed, there might even have been recognition that liberalism as a narrow, supremely arrogant, war-making ideology is destroying liberalism as a reality.

Hear that, libs? Obama is destroying liberalism as a reality! Even the MSM didn’t see that one coming! Heh.

It’s just a ploy to support pacification of the right-wing, and further entrench the commies in the DNC.

Both parties have been co-opted by leftists leaning members and agendas, the DNC by commies and the RNC by ‘moderates’.

The DNC will endure calls to go further left, the RNC will be bombarded by both sides to be more ‘moderate’…….

Obama is just slick at exhibiting what he believes… to get an indication you MUST consider his past personal affiliations.

He is a chameleon when he speaks to a group because his narcissism forces him to be whatever pleases that particular crowd. Not having a dominant father figure as a child forces his adult psyche to seek approval. Being a public figure just amplifies that.

But don’t be fooled into thinking that his beliefs will not be promoted. He says one thing, feigning agreement, and does whatever he wants anyway. Hypocritical as it is, it serves his purpose to accomplish whatever it is that his ultimate goals seek to “Change“.

Hence, he is not “destroying liberalism” he is just putting his own spin on it…… he will cloak everything he seeks to “change” by having others do his bidding. Plausible deny-ability….

I’d sure love to see an accounting of the 80 governments and liberation movements we’ve killed off over the last 60 years.

Must be counting some home grown liberation movements like the SLA, Weathermen, etc.

Well I was absolutely amazed at his turning into a centrist when he ran on pure leftie products during the nomination process , I have never in my life seen a fast switch such as he did . Now we are sitting here in disbelief and wonder what the guy has up his sleeve. He is trying to sound like Abe Lincoln and that scares me because he split the country right down the middle , slavery was a part of the civil war but not all of it, nor was it the main item, states rights had more to do with the federal government siding with the northern states and being taxed unfairly . Don’t take me wrong I abhor slavery it should have been abolished long ago .But the history books of today call slavery the main point of the war ,it was not.

So, what’s your excuse for lying about it? It was the Greek military against the Greek monarchy. We were in favor of the anticommunists, since the Soviet aggression in Europe needed to be fought.

Not even close; that was an entirely Greek matter, although the US was in favor of the anticommunists(of course, since this was the time of Soviet expansionist aggression in that part of the world), but it is pure fabrication to blame the US in any way for what the Greek military did to the Greek monarch. Another lie from a known liar.

The Greek military with the support and encouragement of the CIA toppled the caretaker govt. The king presided at the swearing in of the junta. Get your facts straight.
