Obama Inauguration Hype Continues To Be Just Hype

According to the liberal media Obama’s inauguration will supposedly be the greatest moment in American history. HBO is carrying it for free on its cable channels. MSNBC is carrying it in movie theaters. We’re told time and again what a great and historic moment it is, and how the whole world is waiting on the edge of its seat.
And yet, in Washington DC area there remain 15,000 hotel rooms available.

Pssst. Eight hundred rooms in Washington, D.C. proper and a total of 15,000 rooms “in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District” remain unbooked for the Obama apotheosis inaugural. Pass it on.
“Actually, Hotel Space Remains Available,” the Washington Post’s Paul Schwartzman quietly reported on page B2 of the January 15 edition’s “Inauguration Watch.” Staffer Paul Schwartzman cited Washington’s “official tourism office, Destination DC” as the source of the stat.

I don’t think it’s so much that Obama’s inauguration is really special to more people than any other president’s inauguration. It’s just that the liberals in the media want it to be that way, so that’s what they’re reporting.

Strictly a guess on your part, with no factual basis. The point is, that we were hyped that this inauguration was supposed to be so crowded that it was sold out. It obviously isn’t, so they lied to us, as usual.
Without the endless hype and lies, PEBO is just another affirmative action hire, with nothing to offer us.

Conservativism will happen again as it always will. With Carter there came Reagan, with Obama something better will pop up. Guess: won’t be Obama. Looks like the American people that voted for him got buyer’s remorse in the midst of his scandals and ineptitude.

The blathering, bullying and screaming of the left just grows and grows as they get more desperate on their hold for power. They no longer have an “underdog” status of victimology, that was gone when they won the election. Now, they have to be leaders.

They will fail miserably. They lied to get the election: Obama said to cut taxes and federal waste. Conservativism isn’t dead. Obama had to lie being one to get elected.

Who knows? But people in Hawaii are throwing parties and well be watching it on HBO.

I think what they’re implying that the Messiah isn’t as cracked up to be and that the 15000 hotel rooms that are vacant is showing that it’s just another inauguration.

its not… but 90% if the media and 100% the libs have been screaming from the mountaintops about 4 M people showing up. they missed by up tp 50%. so if take away all the false pre-inaugural hype (and we all know hype feeds on itself) i wonder just how many people would have been there.

At the very beginning Obama reminded me of that abusive significant other of where they would withhold all love and affection from you if you did “one little thing” if only you’d change. The only problem is that once you resolved/fixed/changed that little thing, they would come up with something else or a new set of little “issues” in order to abuse you all the more.

Considering on how he talks to the American people, I would agree with you on that. I’m glad I don’t really bother to listen to him or his speeches because 1)he’s not the one to tell me to run my life, 2)he doesn’t know real life and lives in a bubble of which he has no idea of practical application, 3)I only look to myself and to my convictions, God, and my pure grit and intelligence to get ahead. I am one of the 300 million people that makes America great. That goes to each and every American that CHOOSES to follow their own life and to follow their dream.

We just need to realize that again that only we are in control of our own lives and why surrender that to someone else?

He only had 22% of American’s vote for him. 20% voted for the other guy, a few voted for the stragglers and the rest didn’t vote or weren’t old enough to vote…in any case 78% of American’s did not vote for the “ONE,” so he’s not as popular as his narcissistic head tells him he is, and the 22% that did vote for him are not as smart as they think they are. The smart ones will start preparing for the “Great Depression, take 2.”

If the soon to be Black House in Chocolate DC stinks like BHO’s plane did during his campaign (according to a ABC new’s reporter) global heads of state will be going out the back door as fast as they come in the front door. You would think with all the millions he was raking in, he could have paid someone to clean his plane once in awhile. Michelle said he was stinky in the mornings…that must explain it.

If HBO is carrying it for free for non-subscribers does that mean they will give paying regular subscribers credit for that same time that their service was gunked up with this nonsense?

A lot of this smells more like feel-good patronizing American liberal bigotry. “Look at us! We voted for a black man!”

Yup, and set a bar so high that G-d Himself couldn’t pass muster. The ultimate set-up for failure for a man that millions are pinning their childish hopes on. Way to go libs! Way to help African-Americans! Can we hire an inexperienced Chicano afterward on the claim that he will cure cancer and raise the dead, and then a female prez who will promise immortality and transcendence of physical reality?

At this point, I’m in favor of a president who can read a VCR manual by him or herself and recite their ABCs and promises to try to do his own taxes online at H&R Block.
