Obama: I’m Confident My Staff Didn’t Play Ball With Blagojevich

He’s confident, and he maintains that he didn’t meet with Blago about the appointment (despite conflicted reports from reporters), though even now his staff is compiling information about their meetings and communication with Blago and his people.

And then there’s the fact that Obama is still censoring questions about the Blago scandal from the “Open for Questions” section of his website.

So yeah.  Obama is “confident.”  But I think I’ll wait for some independent verification before letting him off the hook.

Plus, even if Obama and his people weren’t “playing ball” with Blago, there still remains the question of whether or not they reported his attempts to sell the Senate seat to federal authorities or kept it quiet for him.

If the latter is true, Obama is in hot water.
