Obama: I’ll Have Republicans In My Cabinet

Gee, I wonder which Republican Obama specifically has in mind.

SUNRISE, Florida (Reuters) – U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama said on Wednesday he would include Republicans in his Cabinet if he wins the election.

Obama, a Democratic senator from Illinois, also said he had “some pretty good ideas” about people he might tap for senior government jobs, though he emphasized he is focused for now on the final days of the campaign and takes nothing for granted.

“There is a transition process—that I’m not paying attention to on a day-to-day basis—but that has been set up,” Obama told ABC News in an interview.

Personally, I’m still thinking that Obama bought Colin Powell’s endorsement with a promise of a cabinet appointment.

Really, though, I’m not terribly impressed by the idea that Obama will have Republicans in his cabinet because I think he’s only promising that to obfuscate his far-left vote history in the Senate and his connections to far-left radicals like William Ayers, Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright and Khalid Rashidi.  I mean, maybe Obama appoints Lincoln Chaffee and Chuck Hagel to his cabinet.

Is that really supposed to satisfy conservatives?  Or even middle-of-the-road, milquetoast moderate Republicans?

Short of a “real” conservative being elected to be POTUS, and or a Republican win in the current election nothing will satisfy you. Admit it.

He’ll have Hagel and Powell…these are “Republicans”?

If Obama puts any Republicans in his Cabinet, he had better have a bodyguard watching his back 24 hours a day.

Never overestimate the intelligence of a conservative.

Full employment for RINOs.

Obama’s going to have William Ayers register as a republican so he can name him Secretary of Education.

Republicans indeed.  Like John Kerry as Secretary of State.  At least that’s what John Kerry seems to think here in Massachusetts.  Try that idea on for size.

Maybe Olympia Snow or someone else who is only a Republican in name.  Obama has a record that any intelligent person can review. It shows only one time he was willing to work across the aisle.  History and the record cannot be denied. Obama knows nothing of listening to differing opinions or viewpoints.  If he is talking about Colin Powell, that is a joke. Powell has been known not to ever campaign for other Republicans and has not been ‘active’ in the Party in any discernable way.  Obama is an ideologue. He will not bring anyone into his administration that would provide a fresh viewpoint.

Every single one that endorsed him. (Of course they aren’t really republicans and definitely not conservative.)
