Obama Has Been In “Constant Contact” On The Georgia Situation

Except for when he’s been eating snow cones or golfing or body surfing and stuff.
I mean, a guy’s got to have priorities.

The difference between shave ice and a snow cone is also that in Hawaii we put ice cream in the middle or bottom.

Finally a subject Hannitized is an expert on! Once again proving that even a blind pig can find an acorn every now and then!

    Sparkie,

Come to Hawaii and ask where one can buy a snow-cone or flip-flops. One thing Hawaii is proud of is it’s culture and its unique character.

We serve rice at McDonalds and we don’t have milk with Cake. We have it with ice cream. We don’t use saltines with soup, we use soda crackers.

Because you are ignorant of our desire to keep Hawaii unique, does not mean you know what you are talking about.

One thing Hawaii is proud of is it’s culture and its unique character.

    Doesn’t sound that unique:

we don’t have milk with Cake. We have it with ice cream. We don’t use saltines with soup, we use soda crackers.

Here on the east coast we do all those things. Well, actually we do both. Sometimes milk and sometimes ice cream. Sometimes saltines and sometimes soda crackers. And we also have both shave ice and snow cones.

Don’t hate because we aspire to keep our unique traits.

Once again, not very unique… other than rice at McDonalds, but they also serve lobster instead in the northeast.

Oh, and for the record, shave ice is soooo much better than snow cones.

I’m sure he has his cell phone with him when he is body surfing.

    Question:

My sister tells me I should not fail to have a “shaved ice” when I come to Hawaii. Is it the same as a snow cone?

    LB
    Beverly Hills, CA

    Here you go sparkie..

    Response:

    Dear LB-

No, they are definitely not the same thing, and your sister is right! Snow cones on the mainland are made with crushed ice and fruit syrup, and are often re-frozen so that when you get them they’re pretty much one chunk of flavored ice.

Shave ice (note that there’s no “d” on the “shave”) is a really wonderful delight. The ice is actually shaved off a big block right in front of you into a fine powder so it’s easy to eat. Then it’s topped with any one of countless exotic tropical fruit flavors, and sometimes questionable ones like root beer and bubblegum. Children tend to be partial to rainbow shave ice, usually a combination of strawberry, orange and vanilla (blue), or three other colorful flavors.

If you’re particularly lucky, you’ll find a stand that puts the shave ice on top of ice cream - really delicious. Mmm, Big K has to run across the street to have one of those right now.

If you want to buy shaved ice equipment and make your own shaved ice, go here:

Unless you’re goign to tell me that he’s got a cell phone strapped to his ear while he’s out body surfing, he’s not in “constant contact.”

By that standard nobody could be constant at anything, unless they do it 24×7. That means while they are on the toilet, no opportunity to sleep or eat.

You are simply being a ridiculous ass-hat if you think that is a valid argument.

We serve rice at McDonalds and we don’t have milk with Cake. We have it with ice cream. We don’t use saltines with soup, we use soda crackers.

We do many of those things in the Midwest as well except for the rice at McDonalds. I’ve never heard of that before. Is the rice served instead of french fries?

What difference does it make? obama has no influence on global affairs.

    W.W.O.D. ( What would obama do? )

    answer: flip flop

  • Jimmy S.

Except for when he’s been eating snow cones or golfing or body surfing and stuff.

Rob, you lose credibility when you make these intellectually dishonest arguments. Obviously, you are smart enough to know it is possible to be in “constant contact” without being on the phone or in front of a computer at every waking moment.

Why not only post your arguments that actually have merit? This blog would be a better place.

    Hey Hannitized,

Is that thing about Hawaiians loving Spam an urban myth, or is it true?

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/readers/author/realitybasedbob/ realitybasedbob

Of course Mickey has a good point, applicable to the gop candidate as well.

But if a presidential candidate was asked what’s going on in Georgia today and a replied: I don’t know, I can’t do anything about it anyway…

I imagine they would have a little more explaining to do than just what was happening in Georgia.

  • Hannitized

    Ken,

    Doesn’t sound that unique:

Perhaps not. The examples I used were just one tiny small example.

I am sure the East coast is very different from the mainland??? *shrugs*

  • Hannitized

Crap. I shouldn’t have given this post the credit it deserved by commenting on the topic. The only thing interesting on this post is the snow-cone/shave ice discussion.

  • Mickey

    bob

the point is that the obamanation is trying to spin the tall tale that obama is somehow involved in the nations talks with Russia. As we all know, that is total BS. McCain is not selling himself as such.

It’s all about obamas hubris, bob

  • Hannitized

Um,,,it’s not a “snow cone” Rob. It’s called a shave ice.

We aren’t in Kansas anymore kid.

Dear fish, thanks for the barrel.

The difference between shave ice and a snow cone is also that in Hawaii we put ice cream in the middle or bottom.

    Here is more info…

Don’t hate because we aspire to keep our unique traits.

Shave ice, shaved ice, ice shave or snow cone? For most students from O‘ahu, the term for the colorful mountain of crushed ice is shave ice. However, students from the Big Island call it ice shave, and many students from the mainland call it snow cone.

“There’s nothing better on a hot day (than) to eat something refreshing like shave ice,” says Larilyn Alota, a sophomore at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Whatever it’s called, the popular places among UH students to get shave ice include Waiola Shave Ice, Ice Garden and Shimazu Store.

    Waiola Shave Ice

Waiola Shave Ice has two locations: the newest is on Kapahulu Avenue, and the original store is hidden at the corner of Pā‘ani and Algaroba streets in McCully.

“Every time my wife and I come on vacation, we come here to get shave ice,” said Ron Lau, a California resident who grew up in KaimukÄ«. The original Waiola “has the smoothest shave ice,” Lau said.

Philip Fujiyoshi, a resident of Davis, Calif., says: “I remember here in 1985, while visiting my grandma in the building across, sitting on the balcony blowing bubbles and watching people eat shave ice.” Fujiyoshi, who was wearing rollerblades, made a pit-stop for a refreshing rainbow shave ice after blading from WaikÄ«kÄ«.

    Ice Garden

“My favorite place for ice shave is Ice Garden,” said Krislyn Hara, a junior at UH Mānoa from the Big Island. Ice Garden, located in the ‘Aiea Shopping Center, is known by many residents to have a unique variety of toppings,

In dealing with this issue it is easy to see that Obama doesn’t know what he is doing. Can anyone else picture Obama coming back with a letter from Putin stating that they will not take any other land besides Georgia?

    History repeats itself…

    biting commentary!

I think this post has merit. Clearly, Obama’s campaign is exaggerating The One’s level of attention to the Georgian crisis.

Unless you’re goign to tell me that he’s got a cell phone strapped to his ear while he’s out body surfing, he’s not in “constant contact.”
