Obama Had To Know About Ayers’ Extremism

Because in October of 1981, while Obama was attending Columbia University in New York, Ayers’ group the Weather Underground robbed a Brinks armored car killing two cops and a security guard in the process.

What’s more, one of the defendants in that heist was Kathy Boudin.  Her son Chesa was being raised by William Ayers and his wife Bernadette Dohrn when Obama launched his first Senate campaign from their house.

Also, Boudin’s brother Michael (who, as a Reagan administration member and George H.W. Bush appointee to the federal bench, doesn’t deserve to be compared to his sister) was a lecturer at Harvard University while Obama was in attendance.

To say that Obama didn’t know these peoples’ background is ludicrous.

Next Obama and his disciples will be expecting us to believe that he attended Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s church for twenty years and didn’t once hear any of the bigoted black liberation theology and America hatred that gets preached there on a weekly basis.

Comments

Of course Obama knew about Ayers’s extremism, just like he knew about Rev. Wright’s extremism, and like he knew about the extremism of that radical Catholic priest who was mocking Hillary in that racist manner.

I can’t remember the priests name.

I’m not quite sure this is airtight.  Now certainly Obama should have known about Ayers’ politics if he was willing to launch his first campaign from Ayers’ house.  It is dubious that he didn’t.

However, the fact that someone linked to Ayers was lecturing at Harvard doesn’t mean much here; while Harvard certainly isn’t as big as, say, The Ohio State Univerity (not just any Ohio State U!), it is a big place with something like 6000 students and nearly a thousand professors and other instructors.  You cannot know them all.

I’d refine your thesis in the necessary and sufficient terms; Obama did not know, or did not care, that a disturbing number of people he was actively working with had behaviors and opinions abhorrent to most Americans.  If he can’t figure out he’s dancing with skunks in life as a private citizen or state legislator, exactly why would we believe that he’d be able to do so as President?

Bubba:

I think the average person might have that as an excuse. But in his biographies, didn’t Barry basically say that he emmersed himself in radical politics and voraciously read radical and communist writers?

Surely during his emmersion in the ideas of radicalism, he would have picked up a bit of information on the Weathemen.

Wouldn’t that be like someone who emmersed themselves in American literature saying they weren’t familiar with the ideas of O’Henry or Samual Clemmens? Wouldn’t it be like someone who emmersed themselves in medievel art history not being familiar with the work of Albrecht Dürer.

But a man associated with a former associate of Kathy Boudin does deserve to be compared to the sister???

Hungry Bear; if that is indeed what his autobiography says, then yes, I would agree that THAT proves that he should have **** well known with whom he was dealing.  Not just the “lecturer at Hahvid” part, though.

It wasn’t exactly the linch-pin of my point, Bubba.  Just another connection.

The first two points are the most damning.

I think it was something like “Plunger”

G O F,

One can choose one’s friends and associates, one does not have that choice when it comes to family.  One’s family is what it is.  One’s associates (particularly long term associates) are a different matter entirely.

Obama showed little compunction in throwing his minister of twenty years under the bus (not to mention his grandmother) when that long term association became politically inconvenient.  That he has not done so with Ayers and Dohrn is a indicator of what he has to lose should he alienate them.

I knew it had something to do with ‘flushing’

rwc,

Comparing “father” Pfleger to a toilette plunger does an incredible disservice to the reputations of toilette plungers everywhere.
