If one is outraged at everything, nothing is outrageous.

I remember as a kid going to the local symphony, which had a series for grade schoolers. The conductor chided the kids once for applauding the national anthem (of Switzerland, it was a theme show).

“We do not applaud national anthems...”

Guess that guidance no longer applies, either.

I stand at attention during the anthem, hands behind my back, eyes locked on the flag, hat off and sometimes mouthing the words, but I don’t put my hand over my heart. Why? No reason.

Actions speak louder than words. This is worse than calling some one General Betrayus.

“Daddy, why do you put your hand over your heart during the National Anthem? Even the President doesn’t do it.”

Good leaders lead by example. Of course, there could be more to this than meets the eye.

This is nothing to be ‘outraged’ about to be sure, but it makes Obama look . . . really out of touch, and not very bright.

Looks like Barry “O” is more interested in protecting the family jewels than his country.

The video is titled ‘Barack Obama 2008 spokenword.’ Muslims Against Sharia call on Barack Obama to distance himself from his extremist supporters and to denounce this You Tube video for promoting violence in the name of the Obama for President campaign.

Easy answer to Obama.  Don’t vote for him.  Even better vote Republican and you won’t have to worry about Sharia taking control of our government.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

If anybody’s dispensing instructions to people about what to be outraged about and what not to be outraged about, it’s the folks like Rob telling us there’s something wrong with us if this ticks us off.

That having been said, I agree with the comment about the butchering of the anthem. I haven’t heard it that bad in quite awhile...maybe since Roseanne.

His perception of things are not lining up with people expect from a presidential candidate.  He’s seems to be kind of alienating people who believe in standing up for this country through symolism.  People won’t perceive him as trying to make a good impression.

I dont stand with my hand over my heart when the anthem or flag salute is given.  I stand at attention with my hand positioned above my right eye.  I do this because I wear the uniform.  Of all the poeple out there who disrespect our country I say this. 
That is your right.  A right I fight for.  Though I feel you have this right, it is a right that you wouldnot have if it wernt for me and mine.

How Current is This? (a) Designation.— The composition consisting of the words and music known as the Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem.
(b) Conduct During Playing.— During a rendition of the national anthem—
(1) when the flag is displayed—
(A) all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart;
(B) men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold the headdress at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and
(C) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note; and
(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.
Mr OBAMA was and IS wrong for his lack of respect by not adhering to the principle and customs that this country was founded on..

This man wont sing the national anthem or pledge allegiance to the american flag?...based on what I have heard he has been with members of the PLO ‘? and we are going to put this butt hole in as president?...whats wrong with this picture?..He doesnt say the pledge of allegience...he doesnt recite the Lords Prayer...if I may this was what the basis of this damn country’s existance is from!Thats right Christianity...dont like it dont read it!...but guess what? that is where it came from ..like it or not...this guy is going to dis credit the United States and we are putting him there for some stupid reason ...it doesnt make sense?  Why would we put someone in that is going to punish the United States of America?
