Obama Declares Rush Limbaugh Public Enemy #1
Obama tells Republicans that they have to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh:
The Drudge Report blared the New York Post report by Charles Hurt that President Obama told the Republicans in Congress that they should go along and get along, and stop listening to Rush Limbaugh: “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.”
Obama is clearly worried that Rush Limbaugh is going to be the GOP Speaker of the House, so to speak.
To be perfectly honest, Obama would probably be better served by ignoring Rush altogether. Obama, still swooning from his election victory and the media’s hype of it, maybe thinks he’s killed off the conservative movement…but he hasn’t. And singling out people like Limbaugh as the enemy only solidifies the man’s importance to the movement.
As if Rush’s importance to the conservative movement weren’t already obvious.
Still, though, what’s funny is that Obama says things like this even as he calls for “unity” and “bipartisanship.” Does he even know what those things mean? Aren’t Rush Limbaugh and his listeners Americans too? During his victory speech on election night Obama said “to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.”
Well Rush Limbaugh and his millions of daily listeners are Americans whose support Obama hasn’t earned yet. Clearly, he’s not interested in being their President.
Typical Obama. Pretty speeches, little substance.
