Obama Continues To Hit New Lows In The Polls

Rasmussen has Obama’s approval index at -12, the lowest it has ever been:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. That’s the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama.

Forty-nine percent (49%) now say that America’s best days have come and gone. Just 38% believe they are still to come. Thirty-four percent (34%) say the country is heading in the right direction. Seventy-five percent (75%) want the Federal Reserve to be audited.

It’s not just Rasmussen that shows Obama tanking.  Pew has Obama’s approval numbers going down overall, and across a whole slew of issues:

The Gates issue, in particular, has been a headache for Obama which doesn’t portend good things for the left’s attempts to label all of Obama’s critics as racists:

Things are only going to get worse for Obama and the Democrats, I think.  Unless some miraculous economic recovery happens that Obama can take credit for I have a feeling that his numbers are going to keep tanking.  And such an economic recovery is highly unlikely given the sheer amount of deficit-driving government spending we’ve engaged in already under Obama.  That deficits mean higher taxes in the future.  Higher taxes mean less economic activity.

Less economic activity means we’re not going to hit the growth/revenue numbers Obama and his economic people have projected, and if we don’t hit those numbers are deficits are going to be even worse than they are right now.
