Obama Claims “Stimulus” Has No Pork Even As He Brags About All The Juicy Pork In It

This is bordering on self-parody:

WASHINGTON (AP) – At least Route 31 is a road to somewhere.
President Barack Obama had it both ways Monday when he promoted his stimulus plan in Indiana. He bragged about getting Congress to produce a package with no pork, yet boasted it will do good things for a Hoosier highway and a downtown overpass, just the kind of local projects lawmakers lard into big spending bills.

Funny he didn’t mention any of the dog parks or performing arts centers or frisbee golf courses the “stimulus” spending spree is porked up with too.

    To the Socialist Dems PORK is necessary to further their agendas. To Conservative Republicans PORK is an unnecessary spending spree for more Socialist programs. The more the merrier for the Dems. The way they are Sneaking bits of Big Gov Watch Dog healthcare into our lives is awful. We need to be aware of the freedoms we are losing right under our noses. Most people don’t have any idea of what this means. It means more Power to the Govt not the people. Hope & Change! Peace & Love! The USA is crippled and ill and we have a POTUS who is about to make it terminal.

    That self-parody you refer to is the same as his blathering about “bi-partisanship” while stupidly decrying the “policies of the past 8 years that got us to this point.”

    It is becoming more clear with each passing day that Barack Obama doesn’t know, or care to know, squat about economic and fiscal policy. What he does know is how to run for office, and very little else.

    The rules should be simple:

    If you want to fight America and be treated well you need to wear a uniform and follow the Geneva conventions yourself.

    If you don’t want to wear a uniform, or you don’t follow the Geneva conventions, you won’t be granted any protections at all.

    My grandfather was an infantry noncom during WWII. When they captured German Army soldiers and officers they treated them properly. When they caught SS officers or Germans soldiers not wearing proper uniform, it got really ugly for the Germans.

    The libs are demanding that American soldiers treat terrorists a lot better than grandpa handled Waffen SS.
