Obama Cares Less About National Security Than Getting Democrats Re-Elected

That’s not what he says, of course, but actions speak louder than words no?

With his attendance at fundraisers for Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts today — boy, there’s a pair of popular incumbents — President Obama has now attended seven fundraisers since Gen. Stanley McChrystal submitted his request for additional troops in Afghanistan.
Boy, it’s a shame Gen. McChrystal isn’t an unpopular incumbent Democrat; if he were, Obama might be more eager to help him out.

It’s little wonder our troops in Iraq are feeling depressed and disillusioned. Their at a critical moment in the mission they’re risking their lives for, but instead of a leader for a commander-in-chief they’ve got a political celebrity.

i know everyone does this to some degree, but how many times did Bushie do it in his first year WITHOUT a war?

  • AKA WOOF

All these years and the general is sure he can wrap
it up with a gaggle of more troops.
    Troops have failed.

    What’ll it take 5 years, 10, 50 years?
Health care , clean water , security , for Afghans.
    What’ll cost? Who cares?

Americans must be practical and wait for theirs.

  • Gus

given enough troops, supplies and money, we can be just as successful in the middle east as we were in southeast asia.

  • Mark

DINO, you would’ve hid ubder your desk and cried!

Bush did the right thing at that moment. He did not scare the kids and the school, you goddam idiot!

If a Democrat was running in the Afghani elections Barri would be all about it, babe!

  • brain trust

Our wanna-be dictator isn’t interested in ways of winning in Afghansitan. He just wants to contain them, i.e. fight to a draw. Now that is a military strategy destined to fail. I hope he fails in his fund raising!

Dino, you need to get some new material. I’m getting tired of reading your same, inane, mind numb posts. Enjoy the brief state of demo-rule. With ACORN out of commission, these big government hacks will be swept out next year.

Maybe we should glad he is not in his office making things worse. In Obama’s world he is the only thing that is really important. What are the lives of servicemen compared to the image and majesty of Obama. If he losses power and control the entire world will see that the emperor has no clothes. The love affair is drawing to an end and the wannabe Stalinista is being seen for what he is. I hope the wheels fall off this bus soon because not many are enjoying the ride.

  • sayanything-2

Perhaps you could show us how many times he did fundraisers during 2001? Or are you just slinging this out there to see if it sticks.

Do a little google and get back to us.

  • sayanything-2

And Tater is right. No one has ever continued on with their election campaign machine gathering money AFTER the election. Where is the Federal Elections Commission oversight of this fund raising? Oops. Thats right. The election is over, FEC has no oversight of it. Barri’s machine is still collecting money, and no one can find out where it is going. RICO, anyone?

I don’t think that Bush was ever in endless campaign mode like Obama has
    been.

  • sayanything-4416

Beats reading a book to a bunch of children while your country is under the biggest attack in its history.

Sore losers desperately seeking something to whine about.

  • sayanything-4808

I don’t think that Bush was ever in endless campaign mode like Obama has
    been.

NO ONE in American political history has continued what began as a campaign organization and then turned it into a shadow political party dedicated to a cult of personality and ideology like Barack Obama. NONE.

It is more than unethical, it transgresses basic assumptions of propriety and focus, demonstrating he has neither, and is in fact not doing the business of the people he was elected to. Instead he is attempting to seize a future not his own, and make of himself as JFK became after the fact. That a Democrat would do this is entirely unsurprising. Bill Clinton’s partisans attempted to do it for him blatantly with constant allusions to Camelot. Now Obama himself is doing it directly much as the former leaders of communist China did, as Hitler and the Nazis did, as despots the world and history over have.

Even more galling is that our media is aiding and abetting it, betraying their place as the observing representatives of the public’s need to know how their subordinates, the political class, are using or abusing the power delegated to them.

Even more than that, the media acknowledges this tacitly and belittles the people at large at every juncture given to them to make peace and apologize for their scandalous behavior.

They are bringing us ever closer to a point in American history no sane person could want. They know this and do not care. Such are the depths of their depraved obsession with their emotional and psychological feelings. Insecure to the last, they seek everything except responsibility and propriety to make themselves feel relevant and important and damn all others and the consequences to them.

  • sayanything-4808

His actions will do nothing for his fellows, so let him keep doing it. The less he does that is proper and presidential, the more the public sees that he was a horrible choice for Not Bush. They can’t blame themselves for the mistake, so they will turn it back on him and their hate for Obama will grow. It will sooner or later be like Blago stumping for people. With friends of your campaign like that you don’t need enemies.

Somewhere on the net, good conservative contrarians are keeping track of all this fund raising activity, a copy of every email from his organizing group, and will put it all together for the public in a form even the short attention span of our prime time electorate can grasp quickly. The stink from the White House will reach Heaven. This all is not changeable. It’s just human mentality playing out. And it will get to the point that the Dems will have second thoughts about their party affiliation and wish to the core of their souls that Obama had never been elected.

Could your posts get more overwrought, Potato?

Get a fainting couch. You’re gettin’ the vapors.

  • sayanything-4416

Bush did the right thing at that moment. He did not scare the kids and the school

Yeah, it would be weird for the President of the (dis)United States to calmly tell the kids he had to go, something important came up. Like they didn’t hear about the attack a few minutes later!

LOL, he was pissing in his pants. He wanted Cheney to hold him tightly in that bunker. Freakin’ loser piece of excrement.
