Obama Campaigned Secured PR Help To Whitewash Rev. Wright And His Church

Spin control.

One of Barack Obama’s senior advisers helped arrange public relations help for Trinity United Church as it grappled with tough coverage in the wake of the Jeremiah Wright controversy, according to a new report.

Talking Points Memo reports that David Axelrod, Obama’s chief strategist, privately contacted Jim Terman, president of Chicago public relations firm Jasculca-Terman and Associates, after the church put out a call for help after Wright’s remarks attracted a media firestorm. The firm specializes in crisis management.

Just for the record: Obama is more than happy to help his church whitewash its hateful ideology, but we’re expected to believe that he doesn’t buy into any of that ideology.

I’m sure his church would be pissed you used the term “whitewashed”.....what “black” washed not good enough for you and you G*d damn oppressors of the black man. No wonder they hate whitey and America so much.

When you whitewash something, because white wash paint is so thin, the thing meant to be covered usually still shows through and is never well hidden. So, Hoss is correct, blackwash would have been better, the Obama whitewash was not very effective.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

What amazes me is that they don’t apologize or distance themselves from the stand of the so called Rev. Wright. They don’t retract the filth they published in their bulletin. No instead they try to spin it. They don’t do the right thing, they don’t take responsibility, they try to get everyone to ignore what is right in front of everyones face.

I think a lot of folks just don’t get it. There will be no apology, no rejection of hate theology and no condemnation of Jermiah Wright… because they actually agree with the messenger and his message.

That the Obama campaign helped find a crisis-management PR agency speaks volumes about this man’s intrinsic lack of character and honesty.  “Didn’t know for twenty years”, indeed!

The stakes are high. Whether the issue is the economy, or energy, or the federal courts or national security, the right answers are coming not from the Democrats, but from the Republicans. The surge of operations that began a year ago is succeeding. The only way to lose this fight is to quit. Richard M. Cheney, Vice President, 30 May, 2008
