Obama Breaking His Promises On Lobbyists

He said he wouldn’t take campaign money from lobbyists, but he went ahead and took it from lobbyists’ spouses and business partners and children. He said that lobbyists wouldn’t have a place in his administration, but now that he’s been elected…they do.

Despite campaign trail promises that special interests wouldn’t be a part of his administration, President-elect Barack Obama’s has sent signals to the lobbyists that they can get jobs with him.
…the overall message to the lobbying community appears to run counter to the Democratic senator’s campaign promise to keep special interest advocates at arms length.

So what other campaign promises is Obama going to break? My guess is that this promise for a net cut in government spending is the next to go down in flames.

    I Hope he breaks his Promise to Planned Parenthood about signing The Freedom Of Choice Act! That would cost the Taxpayers big money! Not to mention many of the taxpayers their core beliefs! IF Obama is able to sign it the should rename it The Taxpayers have No Freedom of Choice Act.

    On Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Obama’s chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, explained the role of lobbyists in an Obama administration this way:

    “No one who’s an active lobbyist, no one who’s been lobbying on issues for the last two years related to their industries is going to come into our administration and work on those.”

    Following up, host George Stephanopoulos asked, “”So, that means that if you worked in the energy industry, you’re not going to be able to get a job at the Department of Energy?”

    Has anyone heard when they’ll bury his grandmother?
    In my area it’s most common to have the funeral 3 days after death, unless the person was a public figure that needed more time for mourners to pay last Respects.
    It’s just really odd that a person wouldn’t make the funeral or ceremony.

    Isn’t this the same Barack Obama who promised to go with public financing for his general election campaign?

    Surely no one is surprised that he will promise anything to anyone to get what he wants, and then break his promises whenever it proves expedient.

    Seriously. BO can break “any” promise and get away with it.
    He was all over the map on taxes durring the campaign. 250k, then 200k, then 150k, then 130k, back to 250k. Voters didn’t care. At on point he even confirmed raising taxes was counter productive in a bad economy.
    His whole campaign was designed to pursuade the “needy” masses.
    Now that he’s elected, as they say in the south, “Katie bar the door”..
    Anything. Everything goes. “He‘ll” explain as he goes.
    He’s already hiring all the sharpest political “hacks”. Look at his Chief of Staff.
    It’ll be fun watching this “Master” Con-Man opperate. If there’s any money left when he’s finished.
