Obama: Republicans Are “Hostage Takers”

This, apparently, is The One’s idea of bipartisanship:
“It’s tempting not to negoitate with hostage takers unless the hostage gets harmed,” President Obama said at his Tuesday press conference.
“In this case, the hostage was the American people,” Obama said
Or, alternatively, Democrats and Republicans had a disagreement over tax policy the Democrats led by Obama had make a deal after an election in which the American people gave Republicans a much larger presence in Washington.
It’s not hostage taking. It’s politics. But I guess when you’re an imperious, arrogant, first-term President any dissent against your agenda is, uh, “taking hostages.”
