Now I Understand Canadian Gun Control

Because I wouldn’t want guys like this to have guns either.

Toronto police believe that a man taken to hospital early this afternoon may have accidentally shot himself in the groin.

Emergency medical personnel were called to a stairwell of an apartment building on Jane St. just south of Lawrence Ave. W. where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound, Staff Sgt. Bruce Bolitho of 12 division said.

He was taken to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

At this time, police believe that the man may have accidentally shot himself, Bolitho said.

“The gunshot was probably self-inflicted,” he continued. “It depends on the direction of travel of the bullet. If it goes in straight down then it was self-inflicted. We have to wait to hear what the doctors say. Some of these guys put their gun down their pants and . . .”

Silly Canucks.

I would have written the headline: “Canadian Nuts For Gun Control”

Canadian Eschews Gun Control, Loses Nuts

The U.S. experts:

More than one-third of all fatal work injuries from accidental gunshot wounds were suffered by government workers. Of these, nearly half (47 percent) worked for the Federal Government, almost all of whom were employed in the national security field.4 Local government workers accounted for 46 percent of all government fatalities. Within local government, these kinds of occupational fatalities most frequently occurred among workers employed in police protection.

19 percent of the decedents were either involved in training or at a shooting range at the time of their deaths. In addition, 9 percent of the fatalities involved a weapon discharging while the weapon was on the decedent’s person.

Looks like he may have taken one too many hockey pucks to the head.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

So people who work with guns a lot have more accidents with guns.

Jeez, Woofie, mind-blowing statistics.

I forget...is the USPS considered government?

I forget...is the USPS considered government?

Let’s see, they don’t allow competition, they set their prices as high as they can.  They can’t deliver a piece of mail across town in a day.

Close enough for me.

(Actually I think the Post Office does do a pretty good job delivering mail.  I just don’t like the price they make us pay.)

I know the solution to the problem Woofie brings up.  Limited government!  Fewer government workers!

You’re with me, right woofie?

Wayne County’s gun control.

Irresponsible police.

Remember: “Assault weapons” have no purpose other than to kill large numbers of people, which is why the police need them but “civilians” do not.

The four rules of gun safety:

1. Keep your finger off the trigger
2. Keep your finger off the damn trigger
3. Keep your damn finger off the trigger
4. Keep your damn finger off the damn trigger

Works every time.

I don’t think those are the four Jeff Cooper rules, heretic.

I wonder what kind of ammunition he was using...Ball or semi-wadcutter?

Who’s Jeff Cooper? Did he shoot his dick off, too? Just asking.

Oh, now you did it jerk.

My post on Jeff Cooper.

Col Cooper only shot dicks off on purpose, never by accident.

Touchy, touchy....

Oh, THAT Jeff Cooper. I remember now. But I’ll bet he knew to keep his DAMN FINGER OFF THE DAMN TRIGGER. Especially if he was gonna shove a gun down the front of his pants.

Election ‘08 - We Are So Screwed

Pilgrim on December 4, 2006 at 06:56 pm

Yes, Pilgrim he did know.

The Rules according to Jeff Cooper:

Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety [2]:

1. All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.

2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. (For those who insist that this particular gun is unloaded, see Rule 1.)

3. Keep your finger off the trigger ‘till your sights are on the target. This is the Golden Rule. Its violation is directly responsible for about 60 percent of inadvertent discharges.

4. Identify your target, and what is behind it. Never shoot at anything that you have not positively identified.
