Nothing Says “Christmas at the White House” Like Chairman Mao

What a difference a year makes! There is no accounting for taste, but this may rise to new levels of tastelessness:

So, the Bush administration honors Teddy Roosevelt with an ornament and the Obama administration honors Chairman Mao, and presumptuously puts Obama’s face on Mt. Rushmore…
Michelle blames “her staff”. Hmm. Wonder who chose her staff for her?

    For a little perspective. The WH had school children throughout the US make Christmas tree ornaments for the WH Christmas trees. The First Lady did not decorate the trees, nor did she select the ornaments. Should the Mao ornament be on the tree? No. But to imply that there is a socialist plot to worship Mao in the WH is beyond comprehension.

    This kind of stuff is petty. Seriously. Are conservatives so desperate that they have to resort to this kind of pettiness to feel good about themselves? Sure seems like it.

    I’m most shocked at his image on Mt Rushmore. Well, that and whatever highly paid 4 yr old they had do this. Crap, this guy’s supposed to be a professional artist, he gets a shot at the White House and he does some incompetent decopage thing and then they accept it. (Please, excuse my spelling, testosterone won’t allow to spell ‘decopage’ right.)
