North Korea Aims Test Missile For Hawaii

It seems as though, since Obama took over in the oval office, our enemies have been getting bolder. Iran has been testing weapons, continuing its push toward nuclear weapons and even arrested an American journalist on trumped-up charges. Now North Korea is getting belligerent again, submitting a missile test plan to the UN that has them firing a missile over Hawaii. Which, aside from being a US state, is also the most important US Naval deployment in the Pacific.
The missile will, also, apparently fly right over Japan.
Reached for comment, aids for Barack Obama said that the President would be drafting a strongly worded letter to Kim Jong-il just as soon as he gets done finding something nice for visiting South American dignitaries at Wal-Mart.

How long are you going to continue to deflect blame for the failure of Barry’s policies by fixating on the past?

Captain Obvious just called in with a response to your question:
The Loony Liberal Left will continue to blame every failure of the current administration on Bush until (1) the next non-Left president takes office; or (2) until the Dem’s lose control of the Congress — Whichever comes first. Then the LLL will have a fresh target for their hate.

  • sayanything-5371

Doesn’t look like many countries take Obama very seriously, does it?

Before you know it Hillary will be over there toasting Kim with champaign, just like Madeline Halfbright.

  • carrick

Lioncourt, the test is occurring on Barry’s watch, not George’s.

How long are you going to continue to deflect blame for the failure of Barry’s policies by fixating on the past?

  • Bat One

Who was president when North Korea tested its nukes?

A stupidly, dangerously short-sighted observation, Buzz.

Stupid because the capability to produce nuclear weapons doesn’t just occur in a time vacuum, something even the proverbial fifth-grader would understand, even if Bush-hating partisan hacks like you don’t.

Dangerous, at least from a partisan perspective, because when Iran test its first nuke in the next year or two, under Obama’s ineptly cavalier watch, your own argument is gonna come back and hit you right between the eyes, and there won’t be a damn thing you can do but take it.

  • http://www.dprkstudies.org/ Richardson

Who the U.S. president is matters very little to North Korea — that regime will continue to work on nuclear and missile programs.

When did North Korea begin to show an interest in nuclear weapons? In 1956, when the DPRK began sending scientists to Dubuna Nuclear Research Center in the former USSR. Eisenhower was president — was it his fault? No. Saying the 2006 nuclear test is Bush’s fault is equally absurd.
    http://www.dprkstudies.org/documents/dprk002-apdx1.pdf

North Korea’s missile program probably started in the 1970s, and they will continue testing on one level or the other regardless of what the U.S. or UN says or does.

Did Bush’s policy fail? Yes (especially the last two years, which were essentially Clinton II), as did Bush Sr.’s, Clintons, and as Obama’s likely will. Clinton could have had some success, but when North Korea began it’s HEU program in the mid-to-late 1990s the administration caught wind of it, but chose to ignore the issue. Until Kim Jong-il dies or is otherwise removed from power, the North Korean regime will do as it pleases.

Obama in particular does not seem to have the wherewithal to deal with North Korea, and is already continuing policies that have failed several previous presidents.

yes, but barry just killed more women and babies in pakistan. funny how we dont hear anything from code pink about this, huh?

I’m wrong? Buzz, wrong? Then tell me who the creator of the aforementioned web article is.

The truth is the truth, groupie, no matter who says it. It’s typical of leftie liars to attack a person, rather than the facts. Do you have any evidence that the article isn’t true?

While it’s really sweet of you to obsess over my comment count, it’s really irrelevant to anything, except your fascination with me. You can’t refute me, so you try some irrelevant bullshit. Typical.
Get some new batteries for that vibrator, gal.

  • robert108

Also Robert, you realize in order to get a post count of the magnitude you have you’d have to post at least 22 times a day? Do you sleep man?

Another fawning little groupie, trying to distract by wanking about my comment count. You’ll have to ask Rob about that, little groupie; I didn’t come up with that number, nor do I care about it. Conservatives do tend to be more productive, though.

  • Bat One

    Buzz,

My apologies. Do you have anything that proves that that the story is wrong?

  • http://www.toadpond.com/ SuperToad

Ah, yes. It’s all BUSH’S fault for the Norks not abiding by their agreements, working underground to develop that which they signed their names not to do.

What would you have had Bush do? Bush was already under unrelenting fire from the milksop Left for “unilaterally” going into Iraq (sans the blessing of the equally pussified U[seless] N[itwits]). So, rather than face the hate again for trying to have it out with the Norks — unilaterally — Bush agreed to be a part of a six nation “talking force”. Yeah. I see that kowtowing to the Left worked out so well, again.

So, which is it? Unilateral? Or not? Neither? or Both?

Actually, it would not have matter one iota what Bush decided to do. Because — regardless of the chosen path — the Left, and their ne’er-do-well minions like Lioncourt, could never be able to find it within themselves to admit it was the right thing to do.

Habitual liberal duplicity on display, folks. Nothing new to see here.

We could get lucky, maybe the missle we fall short and land on the western White House—there is a western White House isn’t there. Some motel or something.

  • Lioncourt

Ah, yes. It’s all BUSH’S fault for the Norks not abiding by their agreements, working underground to develop that which they signed their names not to do.

How is Obama more responsible than Bush? Bush was president. Of course he is responsible for the foreign policy on his watch. You want to give Bush a pass for the last eight years, but blame Obama for less than two months. That is hypocrisy.

The real answer is that Kim Jong-Il is crazy.

  • Buzz

    Wrong again,

I’m wrong? Buzz, wrong? Then tell me who the creator of the aforementioned web article is.

  • Bat One

Buzz makes a good point…what honest evidence do you have?

The flight plan of the NoKo missile test was filed with the International Maritime Organisation, a UN front group, according to Sky News, Fox, The International Herald Tribune, and Der Speigel… none of which qualifies as an “anonymous hack with a web address.”

  • Bat One

So, Buzz, got anything authoritative to refute the story?

Or are you still all mouth?

  • robert108

Yea, Robs link is to a anonymous author.

I wonder if “Buzz” was squealing like this when the NYT used anonymous sources to expose classified US military secrets?

  • Hawk

Stupid because the capability to produce nuclear weapons doesn’t just occur in a time vacuum, something even the proverbial fifth-grader would understand, even if Bush-hating partisan hacks like you don’t.

Yet this thread is about blaming Obama for a missile test less than 2 months into his presidency. The capability to produce missiles doesn’t just occur in a time vacuum either.

  • Eneils Bailey

Reached for comment, aid(e)s for Barack Obama said that the President would be drafting a strongly worded letter to Kim Jong-il.

And he also sent a letter to the Governor of Hawaii, suggesting that he recommend that he advise the folks of Hawaii to enjoy the fireworks display put on for them from the leaders of North Korea.

  • Claude

I thought facts didn’t matter as long as the spirit of the story was correct…

The truth is the whack jobs in Iran and North Korea WILL test our pacifist commander-in-chief. He in turn will talk endlessly while streaking his undies.

  • http://reaganiterepublicanresistance.blogspo.com/ Reaganite Republican

Doesn’t look like many countries take Obama very seriously, does it?

Besides possessing mystical powers and a super-genius intellect, Dear Leader Kim Jong Il seems plenty immune to the Obamamania bug. Sensing weakness, the North Korean regime has responded to conciliatory gestures with nothing but contempt.

What Team Obama is considering is the same kind of “deal” that the foolish Jimmy Carter talked Bill Clinton into ten years ago: basically bribing Pyongyang with fuels and food to stop their development of nuclear weapons and ICBMs, while they graciously accept our gifts and continue to do just as they please at secret, underground sites… in addition to selling nuclear know-how to our other enemies like Syria and Iran.

To set the stage and move North Korea to the top of the Obama agenda, Pyongyang is preparing to test-fire it’s longest range ICBM, specifically designed to carry a nuclear warhead. The Taepodong-2 missile has a 6000 km range, bringing Alaska and the west coast of the US well within range… right as the misguided Obama seeks the cancellation of America’s missile defense programs.

Ruthless, insatiable foes have no reason to take seriously a smiley plastic mannequin like Obama, they know he’s not going to do anything.

If you’re not scared with Barack Obama as US Commander-in-Chief… you ought to be.

  • sayanything-5371

In this article Johnny Chung’s weapons secrets scam is exposed. Chung got US weapons secrets for China and gave illegal campaign contributions to democrat politicians in exchange. Up until this time China didn’t have weapons guidance technology of any reliability. Suddenly, they did.

Japan or Israel will have to do something about N. Korea , because or Limp Dick president sure won’t.

Richardson: Why did you not mention Clinton’s “deal” with the Norks? Other than that glaring omission, you seem well informed on the subject.

Wow, the Bush administration’s policy towards NK was a total failure.

it only took them months to put barry up to a test bush wouldnt fail…. i wonder what barry the baby killer will do with this pickle.

  • Bat One

No, this thread is a criticism of the response to that provocation.

Of course. The point is that in his first two months in office, and the previous two months since his election, Obama has done little to inspire the confidence of grownups, either domestically or overseas. It is looking more and more like Obama was far more prepared to campaign for the presidency than he was to actually be the president.

  • Buzz

Get back to me when you have something real.

  • 2Hotel9

Yep, lyingcourt lying again. Why is no one surprised?

Bush Admin took many steps to thwart DPRK’s nuclear bomb development, and was blocked repeatedly by UN and China from instituting programs to stop DPRK from advancing its ballistic missile capabilities. Lets summarize. W. worked to stop DPRK, UN and the “International” community worked to advance DPRK in their bomb and missile programs. And according to Lyingcourt and buzzed it is W’s fault for acquiescing to the wishes of the “International” community the way they have screeched for years he should.

    That about wrap it up?

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/readers/entry/homosexuality_is_wrong_-_a_compendium move_zig

Evidently, through both the Clinton and Bush administrations, we have not done enough to exercise oversight over and sanction North Korea’s actions.

Not taking out their missile, when its flight path takes it directly over Japanese airspace and threateningly close to Hawaii is a _big_ mistake.

Everything we do, or fail to do, sends a message to every tinhorn tyrant out there.

By not taking decisive action now, we will be paying for it — doubled — down the road.

  • 2Hotel9

ST, lyingcourt and its anti-American ilk screeched and screamed for W to acquiesce to the “International” community in the case of DPRK, as had Willie Jeff before him, and he did. We backed off what few sanctions were in place. Gave them food and fuel and medical supplies. All of which China could have done, instead of shipping DPRK uranium processing and refining equipment, and those sweet, high speed computers. But that is another topic lyingcourt remains entirely silent about.

Facts are facts, and all the advances DPRK has had in the last 6 years came from materials, equipment and technologies they acquired in the 1990s.

And in the interests of full disclosure, I don’t believe DPRK has a nuke, or the material to build one. That mine shaft shot was a vast amount of commercial explosives with a big pile of tailing and dust from their efforts to enrich. Big boom, atmospheric plume, little else.

  • robert108

Go back to your parallel dimension in space troll.

Dumb little groupie troll: It was Clinton’s “agreement”, and you can look it up, if you know how to do that. He gave them “peaceful” nukes(which can be weaponized) in exchange for their promise to not use them for anything bad. Bad President, bad deal.
You are an ignorant fool, little groupie.

Who was president when North Korea tested its nukes?

Which party fought Bush tooth and nail over North Korea? Enough said, Buzz.

  • richNJ

This is normal BS for a new President. It happened with Bush II and with Clinton when they took office. The only difference is that I expect Barry to fail. I have no faith that this guy has a clue on how to handle a military crisis. I have even less faith in the people he surrounded himself with. Hell, he cannot even handle an economic problem and a visiting dignitary at the same time. I hope I’m wrong on this.

  • Lioncourt

Lets summarize. W. worked to stop DPRK, UN and the “International” community worked to advance DPRK in their bomb and missile programs.

Like I said, Bush failed. They got the missiles.

  • docdave

I hope I’m wrong on this.

Me too especially in the international scene. On the domestic front I have faith that our free market system will overcome any and all problems from whatever sector they originate (government too). His mistakes on the international scene including military prepareness could get a lot of people killed.

  • robert108

Wow, the Bush administration’s policy towards NK was a total failure.

Hardly; it’s the “weak horse” Obama who is drawing all the action from the terrorists, as expected. Remember what Biden said about a “test”? Your denial of the facts is noted.

  • http://suitepotato.blogspot.com/ sayanything-4808

Did you even bother trying to read the site Rob linked to Buzz? Don’t answer because everyone already knows damn well from your remarks that you didn’t.

If you had, you’d have seen the clear links to the International Civil Aviation Organization, an arm of the UN.

The ICAO gave very clear global coordinates given to them by North Korea as to where the two farthest apart likely splash sites would be. Fired straight and true, allowing for minor guidance problems and weather, the shot should land between the two coordinate sets.

    Here’s the PDF file.

If you look at the picture, it is almost certainly from Google Earth which is free for anyone to download and use. Really nice program. Easy enough for anyone with more brain cells than a union shill, so ask your mom for help Buzz.

If you draw lines from North Korea to the two sites, you get a narrow angle describing a damned accurate corridor of airspace straight to Hawaii.

Furthermore, the same blogger earlier blogged in 2008 about an article in the Washington Post regarding North Korea testing a missile engine that could reach California. This was originated by the South Korean government and Jane’s Defense Weekly.

    Some anonymous web hack Buzz.

So, not only a racist anti-semite and an apologist for the left and a shill for the union, but also an ignorant moron who can’t find out how to work the left mouse button and follow a hyperlink to read up.

Congratulations, you’re almost qualified to stand in for Dino in the Imbecility Dept.
