North Dakotans Are The Most Satisfied People In The Country

Which isn’t surprising given the amount of wealth and prosperity the oil boom has created in the state. North Dakota was #5 in 2008. Now at #1.
The most dissatisfied in the country? Nevada. Which isn’t very surprising given that they’ve got Harry Reid for a Senator.

Thanks for the tips. This will be my sixth trip to Vegas and I have strict limits on how much I gamble a day. If I lose it all by noon, then it’s time to sightsee.

Am I reading this correctly? On this chart, Hawaii ranks 9th. Rhode Island ranks 50th

  • ec99

    "Rhode Island ranks 50th"

Which may be why Prince Patrick Kennedy of the Royal Family is not running for reelection.

You do realize that all the numbers are statistically very close together?

Let's take away that extra 68% of federal money ND gets and see how the numbers change. Not to mention that there's only a handful of people there. We have more people in Portland than your entire state. Who'd notice if ND wasn't happy?

Nevada is miserable because there's so many republicans there getting foreclosed on!

Nevada comes in 51st. The survey includes the District of Columbia.

I'll soon be doing my part of prop up Nevada's economy.

Gosh, maybe it's time for the Gene to Move back to the NODak

May I ask why you are reading a North Dakota blog about North Dakota then? And taking time out of your busy schedule to try to convince North Dakotans that your opinion in Portland should matter to us?

Don't you have Portland things to do in Portland, like raise taxes retroactively on businesses so they go out of business and increase your unemployment? Very Important Stuff. Go attend to it.

NDs are all covert rent-seekers. Speak against it, but gobble it up.
Don't worry, I'll get the tip TOO.

  • sayanything-2819

Jay, glad to hear it. It's been a grim couple of years here.

    A few tips…..

If you are losing, don't chase your money, take a break, get out of the casino and see some of the sights, then try again later.

Toke the dealers, one of them could be my husband:)

The little non-english speaking guys on the sidewalk handing out flyers of nearly naked young women are not your friends.

Know your limits and have a good time.

  • sayanything-4354

good for you up there in ND…keep up the good work

  • sayanything-4642

we dont want it OR your rules. deal?

  • sayanything-1317

He's a troll here to aggravate.

Incapable of being reasoned with. Kinda sad. LIke a three legged retarded puppy.

I'm proud to be a ND lifer, love it! Born, raised, and gonna die here.

Do you ever go walleye fishing there in ND?

  • sayanything-3174

Maybe once a year. I use to go quite a bit when my Grandparents owned a cabin on lake Sakakawea. Many of my friends fish for walleye on the Missouri river and they usually limit out. One of my best friends caught a 14.8# walleye last year casting cranks from shore, that thing was a pig.

  • sayanything-5371

I fish them in the Columbia River. I'm going out today. I have a mount of a 16 lb pig and have caught one that was 18 lb. Once I caught 5 walleyes in 45 minutes that weigh from 9 to 15 lbs. The 'eyes in the Columbia can be awesome.
