North Dakota Democrats Actually Manage To Find Enough People Willing To Run For Office

And they were so proud they sent out a press release about it!

BISMARCK - The Democratic-NPL Party has announced that it has filled all candidate seats for the upcoming campaign season.

“This shows tremendous strength,” said party executive director Jamie Selzler. “We’ve been working tirelessly to recruit the best candidates possible to take back the state Capitol. Today, I’m happy to announce that every candidate seat has been filled.”

Oh yes.  It shows tremendous strength

Tremendous.

In related news, McDonald’s sold lots of hamburgers today and Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

This is just too funny!  Americans are also sting buying gasoline for their cars… Truly amazing!

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

The Bis. Trib. had a piece about the Dem’s slate of candidates and the Rep"s lack of a full slate in the Apr. 12 issue.  I am not at ease with the coming elections--the Dem’s have the wind at their back as we go into the campaign.  The Republican Party had better get their act together in a cohesive campaign and program for North Dakota or there will be a disaster come November. At a time when ND is entering a “good time” with growth and money in the treasury, our party lacks a plan for our state and is half asleep.  Sorry to have this bleak view.

...but no bench!

A troll is someone who only wants to stir up trouble, not have an honest debate.  Some signs that a poster is a troll:
* Dodges questions from other posters * Refuses to give sources
* When one of its arguments is shown to be false, either ignores the proof or moves the goalposts.  Heh. (From the LGF faq)

Sorry to have this bleak view.

I don’t disagree with it.  The NDGOP needs conservative leadership to get fired up again.  It’s hard for people who trend toward wanting low taxes and limited government to line up behind politicians who want to expand government and keep taxes high.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
