North Dakotans Among The Clumsiest In The Nation With Their iPhones

That according to a company which provides the warranties for the phones:
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A smartphone warranty provider says North Dakotans are among the nation’s clumsiest people when it comes to handling iPhones.
The SquareTrade company says between 25 and 29 percent of North Dakota warranty holders reported damaging their iPhones over two years.
SquareTrade ranks North Dakota iPhone owners as the fourth clumsiest in the country, based on the number of warranty claims.
North Dakota was not in the top 5 for iPad clumsiness.
I wonder what inclusion of Android devices would do for the statistics. It seems Android proliferated more quickly here in North Dakota than other places as that phone had previously only been available with AT&T service which, until roughly a year ago, didn’t provide coverage here in North Dakota.
Regardless, it wouldn’t surprise me that North Dakotans are pretty rough on their phones. We have a very outdoors-orientated culture here, for both work and play, and I’m sure most take their devices with them. I know I do.
In related news, where previously only Fargo had super-fast 4G data service from Verizon, North Dakota’s oil patch got coverage earlier this summer. It just extended to Minot last night. Thanks, oil boom!
