Nineteen Months After Harry Reid Declared Iraq Lost We Actually Won

The media isn’t talking about it yet, but we did. We won.

Nineteen months after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid declared the war “lost,” a freely elected Iraqi Parliament signs a security pact with the United States. We won. It is the terrorists and their appeasers who lost.

Read the whole thing.
We won, and we did it despite people like Harry Reid and Barack Obama.
The sad thing is that there will probably never be a victory day for Iraq. The troops that won the war, and the leaders that led them, will never get the full measure of thanks, gratitude and celebration that they deserve. All because the left and their allies in the media jumped the gun and declared the war lost before it was, and now they don’t want to be embarrassed.

Y’all can believe whatever the government sells you. I don’t.

Rugby who obviously doesn’t, perhaps can’t Read:
There’s a dynamite sale on tin foil hats down at Conspiracies-R-Us! I’d stock up if I were you!

    R108,

    I think the Rug-rat is a liar.

I don’t believe he is or ever was a Marine. I cannot imagine anyone joining the Marine Corps who thinks like that, much less making it through the Mighty, Mighty, Motivated Island.

Then again, every once in awhile a shitbird* gets through, but is usually excreted out of the Corps on a Big Chicken Dinner (Bad Conduct Discharge) or possibly an Admin Discharge if they get lucky.

What the significance of the Norwegian flag is beyond me as well. Most Norwegians, although pretty good at English, make tell-tale mistakes or even sound too formal when they compose in English, so I doubt that he is Norwegian.

Of course, you get Leftards from every nation. Stupidity has no nationality. Anyone who is a die-hard Leftist after nearly a century of world socialism is evil, insane or just plain stupid. How else can you look at a system that has slaughtered and oppressed countless millions and somehow consider it to be morally superior to Western concepts of Freedom?

Leftards, however, are big into confusion measures.

That is, they like to lie.

Dezinformatsia if you will — hence the contradictory nature of his avatar and signatures.

From their fruit ye shall know them.

    * (SHIT BIRD: messy or undisciplined; a fuck up.)

  • RebTex

When leftards like these 3 actually get to surrender to Islamic Terrorists they are promptly tortured, sodomized, and executed.

Well..technically, only 2 might find that unappealing.
THe other openly begs for it…

  • Thatthatisis1

I wouldn’t wanna be Rug ’bout now, seeing as I spot several true blue Devil Dogs starting to get some rather itchy rear ends. By the way Rugby, stop abusing the Norwegian flag that way, use something else that best suits your philosophy, like your face filling a void surrounded by a sphincter.

    Terrorists getting stronger in Iraq.

God, you Leftists are such retards.

  • Larry

To you libtards that continue to spew the tenets of your liberalist creed and still haven’t read the article, I’ll do a very little in hopes of enlightening you by being productive (anathema to your ilk) whilst you continue to stick your fingers in your ears and whine ‘It’s not true, waaaaah’. Al-Maliki said:

“This is a historic day for the great Iraqi people,” Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said in a 10-minute address on national television. “We have achieved one of its most important achievements in approving the agreement on the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq and restoring the sovereignty it lost two decades ago.”

He based the SOFA agreement, in part, on a report that stated:

“The United States is now clearly in the end game in Iraq to successfully achieve what should be our principle objectives: the withdrawal of the majority of U.S. ground combat forces . . . in the coming 36 months; leaving behind an operative civil state and effective Iraqi security forces; an Iraqi state which is not in open civil war among the Shia, the Sunnis, and the Kurds; and an Iraqi nation which is not at war with its six neighboring states.”

Again, regardless of how often and how fervently you spew the dogma of your liberalist belief system, facts are facts. My suggestion is that you be intellectually honest and actually, you know, gather information from more than one source. If you don’t, you’re being indoctrinated, period.

  • di butler

Are Dino, Tim and the Rugrat the same person? Funny how “they” all popped up from nowhere, yet have exactly the same viewpoints and attitudes…………………..?

  • robert108

    RT: Good point!

  • RebTex

I guess when you can’t come back with a good response, you go off on a tangent bringing up totally extraneous and unrelated facts.

To put a number into perspective isn’t a tangent.
More people die in America EACH YEAR behind drunk drivers.
You want to improve the lives of Americans & seemingly only Americans?
    Go fix that problem.
Personally, I’d rather fight on someone else’s soil than our own.
When it comes down to having to fight them here, we’re all in a pickle.

  • robert108

Tim: Your traitorous utterances absolutely refute the statement that you care anything at all about our country. You are a coward, like Clinton, whose cowardice in ignoring obvious terrorism allowed AQ to attack us on 9/11. You are the problem, not the solution.
    When we retreat, they advance.

  • robert108

Y’all can believe whatever the government sells you.

Actually, it is you who lie; we get our information from your leftie MSM, which only gives us a fraction of the truth, and even that is enough to prove you are a liar, or delusional.
CNN knew of Saddam’s murderous cruelty, but kept quiet about it to keep their exclusive on news from there. The lies have been from your side, not ours. Clinton said we should depose Saddam, along with the liars in the Dem Party, until President Bush took action, then they lied and said we shouldn’t have deposed Saddam. It is you and yours who are the liars here.

  • Tim

Well, let me SHOUT, so maybe this time you won’t have to read.

The death toll wasn’t the main reason, it was only a secondary reason, albeit a legitimate one.

The main problem is, we wasted a half trillion dollars, imposing our ideals on another country, which could have been better spent in the US, fixing our crumbing infrastructure (lest you forget about the bridge collapse in Minnesota, and the failure of the levies in New Orleans), and we are no closer to eliminating the threat of terrorism.

Not only haven’t we eliminated the threat of terrorism, they have become stronger, and more organized, reference the actions of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and more recently Mumbai, India.

Declaring victory, just because on the surface it appears we have stabilized Iraq, for the moment, doesn’t mean there is truly a victory. All we have really accomplished is to further destabilize the middle east, by removing the one force that was able to hold the ambitions of Iran in check.

Sure the Iraqi people MAY be better off, for the moment, but I don’t care about the Iraqi people. My loyalties lie with with America, and the American people.

It’s just a shame your loyalties don’t lie in the same place.

  • http://insanereindeer.blogspot.com/ Kenny

Oh, and I forgot to mention the 4000+ American lives lost, and the countless injured whose lives will never be the same.
If you can call that a victory, then you really don’t have a clue?

People are injured and killed in war.
That there has never been a war with such a low body count is amazing.

5 years, plus a half trillion dollars, and the terrorists are still among us, stronger than ever. Evidence Mumbai, India

Checks my map…no…no Mumbai is still not in America.

The world is not a safer place with Saddam out of power, it fact it is likely a much more dangerous one.

Of course taking a major financier of terror out of commission makes the world more dangerous…
And if Coca Cola goes out of business, more cola products will hit the markets…

Sure the Iraqi people MAY be better off, for the moment, but I don’t care about the Iraqi people. My loyalties lie with with America, and the American people.
It’s just a shame your loyalties don’t lie in the same place.

    It’s the same cause.

Shame you’re stoo dumb to seee beyond your own nose.

  • Tim

So RobTex, why then bother trying to find and convict murderers in this country, when so many people die for other reasons?

What’s the difference if someone dies in an auto accident, a bike accident or killed in a drive by. In the end their all dead just the same.

We’d sure save ourselves a lot of money by eliminating our court system, and prisons. That would certainly provide a lot more money to go free all the enslaved people in the world, which seems to be what many of you on this blog, think the US is destined to do.

I just love conversing with people who have no idea what they’re talking about.

    You’ve made my day.

  • RebTex

    OK
    I’m typing R E A L S L O W so you can maybe understand…..
To use the death toll as the main reason to cut & run, like the coward leftist love to do, makes no sense when more people die from mundane, everyday tasks right here in America.

  • Tim

Say what? 698 people die in bicycle accidents, so we should outlaw bicycles? What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

I guess when you can’t come back with a good response, you go off on a tangent bringing up totally extraneous and unrelated facts.

Since when did it become the job of the US to

change the course of the lives of people in a land that was strangled of Freedom?

I’d rather we had that same initiative when it came to improving the lives of Americans, by improving our infrastructure, education and health care systems.

That’s where my loyalties lie. In America, not in some foreign land.

But who cares about America, when we have the rest of the world to save. Right RobTex?

  • http://www.myspace.com/thekingscourt4u Gman

Right next to the alien masks, and the black helicopter detectors.

    Aisle X.

Oh, and the maps to Roswell.

  • 2Hotel9

The bestest part of all? When leftards like these 3 actually get to surrender to Islamic Terrorists they are promptly tortured, sodomized, and executed.

  • RebTex

And to put the 4,000 number into perspective, look at it from an outside angle.
4,000 lost were able to change the course of the lives of people in a land that was strangled of Freedom.
On the other hand, in 1997, 814 Americans died while riding a bicycle.
Another 58,000 injuries were reported that year from bicycle use.
In 2007, the bicycle death toll was at 698 & the reported injuries were at 43,000.
THese numbers closely shadow the numbers from Iraq.
Why aren’t you screaming to abolish bicycles?
One group gave Freedom to the downtrodden & the other group was just out for a fun time.
You might want to look a little closer at your complaint.

  • http://norseberserker.blogspot.com/ Rugby Reader

Of course there is denying it. It is all based on lies.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

Absolutely it is all based on lies. We never should have invaded Iraq in the first place. This is the point the Bushies want US all to forget.

    *Crickets chirping in the room*

So what are you going to do when NOBAMA takes military action during his 4 years as president? I can’t wait to hear your shill and cry…

  • RebTex

Oh, and I forgot to mention the 4000+ American lives lost, and the countless injured whose lives will never be the same.

    I KNOW!
4,000 Brave Americans over 5 years …or about 800 per year.
Each & EVERY one and their Families deserve nothing but Respect.
    And to put that

  • di butler

I find it amazing I had just posted the story of my nephew and the bodies of Iraqis killed by the lovely Hussein family and shoved in mass graves. I’m sure it would be much better for all those children with bullet holes in their skulls if we could have just kept Saddam in power. Tim is on line with Rugby, another unfeeling asshole. As for the half a trillon dollars in war money, I’ll bet you won’t raise hell when Obama decides to continue with massive bailout in the trillons, especially if it for those nice liberal policies, now will you, Tim? Crawl back into your hole, worm.

  • bill-tb

Like FDR’s failed New Deal, history has a way of washing away the idiots and letting the truth stand tall.

  • http://norseberserker.blogspot.com/ Rugby Reader

Y’all can believe whatever the government sells you. I don’t.

  • Eagle Eye

Rugby, your an Idiot, Case closed. Every country that sent Troops to help, believed in the war and BTW, we found material that could be used as WMD’s, so where is the lie, you coward.

  • Tim

    That was original point Rob.

While we were focusing all our attention on Iraq, wasting valuable resources there, emboldening Iran, and increasing its sphere of influence in the region, the terrorists were still flourishing. Evidence Mumbai, India just this week.

It doesn’t do much good to cry over spilled milk, but with the aid of 20-20 hindsight we can easily see that the US, and rest of the free world would be a lot better off had we left Saddam in power, so claiming victory in this war is idiotic.

The world is not a safer place with Saddam out of power, it fact it is likely a much more dangerous one.

  • http://norseberserker.blogspot.com/ Rugby Reader

Absolutely it is all based on lies. We never should have invaded Iraq in the first place. This is the point the Bushies want US all to forget.

  • Tim

And exactly what is it we’ve won?

5 years, plus a half trillion dollars, and the terrorists are still among us, stronger than ever. Evidence Mumbai, India!

All we’ve really managed to accomplish, by being in Iraq, is to embolden Iran, and increase its sphere of influence.

And you think we’ve won? You obviously don’t live on the same planet as the rest of us.

  • 2Hotel9

Why are any of us responding to a nutjob from Norway? Who gives a crap what it thinks.

It is high time the senior Democrats in Congress were held liable for their support for terrorists against America. They have repeatedly, in Congress and in front of the media, given aid and comfort to America’s enemies in a time of war. They have called our military the enemy and accused them of crimes, repeatedly. Time to clear all enemies domestic out of our government, their own, repeated and public, statements condemn them.

  • http://www.myspace.com/thekingscourt4u Gman

Don’t forget that the Iraqi people voted, several times, in numbers unheard of in our ‘Democracy’, and they have been making steady progress toward a representative government.

Meanwhile, we have taken steps backward toward socialism with government bailouts etc….

In a few years if this Obamunism continues, there may be folks emigrating to Iraq, for a free society.

  • di butler

Did you all see the clip of the Iraqi soldiers having Thanksgiving dinner with the American soldiers? It was a heart-warming clip. Rugby, you haven’t won anything, you’ve lost. Are you happy now? My nephew was in Iraq and helped dig up the mass graves they found with tens of thousands of executed Iraqis that Sadam had murdered. It took him nearly 3 years to get over seeing all of those men, women and children lying in piles with bullet holes in their skulls. You sir, are an asshole.

  • Tim

Oh, and I forgot to mention the 4000+ American lives lost, and the countless injured whose lives will never be the same.

If you can call that a victory, then you really don’t have a clue?

But why doesn’t that surprise me!

  • MMA Grappler

I guess the world would be better off with Saddam funding suicice bombers in Israel and his sons raping virgins in the basement of the palace.

  • http://www.myspace.com/thekingscourt4u Gman

Time to clear all enemies domestic out of our government, their own, repeated and public, statements condemn them.

Isn’t that part of the oath of office?

I will defend the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic….

Can’t wait for a presidential candidate to take that up as his main campaign slogan.

Also want one who will look the idiotic reporter in the eye and say, “That was the stupidest question I have ever heard.”

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

    Victory in Iraq.

We went in, toppled a dictator, replaced him with a representative government and saved tens of thousands of lives along the way.

There’s no denying any of this now.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

So Rug is going to throw a tantrum because Iraq has an elected, representative government the terrorists are defeated and our troops are about to come home in victory and he doesn’t want any of it to be true.

    It’s all lies he claims.

    Lies.

Next he’ll be telling us that 9/11 was an inside job.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Tim, in this age of terrorism and push button warfare we can’t afford to ignore what is going on in other nations. The “fortress America” touted by isolationists in the past is a myth.

If we want to be safe here, we must engage them there.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

    Really?

The elected Iraqi government is a lie? The precipitous drop in violence in Iraq is a lie? The agreement that will have combat troops out of Iraq by June is a lie?

Who are we supposed to believe? You, or our lying eyes?

I know you don’t want this to be true, because you’re personally invested in it not being true, what what you want to be true and what is, in fact, true are two different things.
