Newt Gingrich: Wright Is Trying To Sink Obama

Comments

Avatar for Hannitized

Newt Gingrich is confused about the idea that Christians pray for those who are in need of Gods guidance.  Why would a pastor pray for a person who has made mistakes, sinned or is mis-guided?

Isn’t the Christian thing to do abandon those who are in need of guidance?  I think so, according to Gingrich.

Thanks Republicans!  You upstanding examples of moral leadership.

H,

Why are you so determined to demonstrate that you haven’t the faintest idea what you’re talking about?  Is this rhetorical self-flagellation some sort of obscure coming-of-age ceremony?  From here, you appear to be hitting yourself in the head with a baseball bat in anticipation of how much better you’ll feel when you stop.  It’s almost painful to watch.

Bat,

Do you also fail to comprehend how people of faith pray for each other when the tough get going?  Or do you also think the Christian thing to do is to abandon your brethren?

I happen to know that Christians pray for one another when things get tough.

In fact, I have seen a several friends pray for their brothers and sisters of fellowship when they are misguided or on the wrong path.

Why shouldn’t the sheep pray for the shepherd?

Hannitized on April 29, 2008 at 08:33 am

H,

Wishful thinking aside, you are inestimably unqualified to lecture me on the proper practices of the Christian faith.  You are similarly unqualified to write about them.  Reread your initial comment, child.

Regardless of what you may think I am qualified for or not, you will be in my prayers.  For I also pray for those who are misguided and stubbornly married to their sin of arrogance.

Nice work on the mote in Bat One’s eye, there.  You might want to attend to the beam in your own.

Arrogance? You epitomize the word, H.

You couldn’t possibly walk in the same shoes as the one who bothers to reply to your silly and trivial remarks.

You are a fool, a court jester, a drunken disheveled clown, an ego driven reincarnation of the fetid Clyde Barrow, sans intelligence.

You are tiresome.Go away.

Ahh… the exquisite satisfaction of being labeled “ugly” by the rhetorical and intellectual equivalent of the Hunchback of Notre Dame!

H, I accept your prayers, with the fervent hope that God will do the same.

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

There is really no need.  I like to be arrogant.  Particularly on this site.  I do enjoy comparing truth to your lies and fact to your fiction.  Drawing attention to that reality is something that is cherished.

Now why don’t you explain why Gingrich is so clueless about the importance of prayer?  Is he a phony or merely ignorant?

Peaches,

Don’t be upset that your right wing cocoon, as a result of my presence, is resounding with words and facts that are inconvenient to the peaceful silence of your ignorance?

Instead, use it as an opportunity to explore all of the ugly corners of your deceitful and hateful lies and distortions.  There is plenty of that landscape to be explored here.

Eunuchoid,

I assume if you are reading this (or someone is reading it for you) and can follow instructions, you have read my previous post on a different thread. Since this is doubtful, I will repeat it here, so you can follow it in whole.

Eunuch-inized,

It’s late, but I’ll take time to answer your last two posts; one on this matter and one on another thread. Please take the time to read them both before you respond.

I wasn’t the one to bring up Nietzsche, sparkless did. I was merely responding as the similarities between the two. Often times when someone (like you or sparkplug) responds to a post with meaningless nonsense, I point out the less obvious.

For instance, I’ve noticed how you, often enamored with your pseudo-intellectual rhetoric say things like this:

I am jealous of her ability to articulate intellectually challenging concepts so poignantly.

So, I would respond:

How nice of you Eunuch-inized, you finally recognized my superior intellect, maybe now is the time to finish pre-school and begin to join in the conversation. However I warn you, many of us here are busy with other reportage and as such have no time for changing your diapers.

There is a pampers room at the daily Kos if you need assistance.

Let’s continue:

Don’t be upset that your right wing cocoon, as a result of my presence, is resounding with words and facts that are inconvenient to the peaceful silence of your ignorance?

Upset? I can’t remember the last time I was ever upset with someone of limited intelligence; annoyed would be a much better descriptor.

Homer once wrote that “the blind can no longer see but have visions of past accomplishments, the ignorant have no such culture and refuse to see”. Surely he had you in mind.

Now that you’ve hidden your incontinence, perhaps you can visit McPlayland and find better company.

Oh Sunshine, how you flirt.

I recollect the first and only time you and I actually engaged in debate.  I asked you to take the time to systematically point out the racism in Wrights statements that you claimed to be racist.  You claimed you would get to it another night, has you had a long day at work.  (I hear nurses give good sponge bath by the way)

Needless to say, you never returned to the conversation, nor did you ever provide insight into the illogical conclusions you leaped to.

Suffice it to say, you are no Annie Oakley when it comes to shooting straight.  You are about as confused and on target as Dick Cheney in a quail hunt.

Don’t bother pretending that you have the capacity to debate me when your first and only attempt was that of cutting and running.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

And of course, all of the adolescent insults aside, the question STILL remains.

Why doesn’t Gingriich understand the point of prayer and why people do it?

The Questions still remain: Why doesn’t Eunuchoid know its ass from its elbow?  Why doesn’t he confine himself to topics about which he has some clue?

Munchkin,

How you squirm when the sun light is on you.  A bit of a worm, are you?

His death, as many of us know, who ARENT clinging to conspiracies, was ruled a suicide that had no similarities to Kopechne.

But for you, you have another point of view....dont you?  I rest my case upon the Wiki.

His death was ruled a suicide by multiple official investigations, but remains a subject of interest among conspiracy theorists.

Now isn’t it interesting how his death, remains a subject of interest to you.  As you do not accept the conclusions around his death.

Wrestling with clinical depression, Foster was prescribed the mild sleeping aid/anti-anxiety pill Trazodone over the phone by his doctor, though he only had taken a few before he died. The next day, Foster was found dead in Fort Marcy Park, a federal park in Virginia. He was found with a gun in his hand and gunshot residue on that hand. An autopsy determined that he was shot in the mouth and no other wounds were found on his body. A suicide note of sorts, actually a draft of a resignation letter, was found torn into 27 pieces in his briefcase, a list of complaints specifically including, “The WSJ editors lie without consequence"[12] and lamenting, “I was not meant for the job or the spotlight of public life in Washington. Here ruining people is considered sport.”

Kopechne died in an auto accident and was not rescued by the others in the vehicle.  Some blame Kennedy.

Foster committed suicide.

The failed joke is meant to imply that they were both “driven” to their death by democrats.  Which is a great joke, if you buy into conspiracy theories, as does Rodney.

For clearly we know that Foster was not driven to his death, by Clinton, or murdered as many believe.

Lame....dude.
