Newt Gingrich Campaigning For The Republican Nomination Like A Democrat

If you thought the political attacks on Mitt Romney over his time at Bain Capital had reached a point where they couldn’t get any more absurd, a pro-Gingrich called Winning Our Future has launched this twenty eight minute ad attacking the former Massachusetts Governor for engaging in capitalism will prove you wrong.
You see, apparently Romney was a “corporate raider” whose company bought into other companies and either improved those companies, making them more profitable than they had been before, or closing them down and selling off what was left for a profit. In other words, he was engaged in the sort of creative destruction that is at the heart of free market economic thinking.
That which works is preserved. That which doesn’t is scrapped. This is how the world work. Or should work anyway.
Of course, Democrats hate that it works that way. But Republicans supposedly are pro-free markets. Except for when Republicans like Newt Gingrich think they can edge out a competitor by appealing to the base, emotional biases of voters based on superficial economic thinking.
I really don’t see how this gives Gingrich an advantage. All he’s doing is galvanizing conservative support for Romney by attacking him from the left.
