Newsreader Gets Carried Away Reporting Kwame Kilpatrick Sex Scandal

I think Kilpatrick is probably one of the most detestable people in American politics, but this still doesn’t sit right with me.

Did someone dig up Barry White to read the text messages?

Barry White?  This guy is a tenor, White was a basso profundo.  Thank God they didn’t get White and some breathy black alto to play the parts--the FCC would have (rightly) shut them down in a minute. 

Yes, this is tacky--I’m glad I don’t watch the evening news in Detroit, to put it mildly--but the tackiness is done in just a standard black urban rhythm.
