New York Times: NCGOP Ad About Obama/Wright Was “Manipulative. Shameful. Race-baiting.”

But really, all the ad does is show footage of Obama’s spiritual leader doing his thing and then suggests that the people who endorse Obama, who in turn endorses Wright, aren’t the right sort of leaders for North Carolina.

Here’s the ad again:

I don’t see anything shameful in it.  Or manipulative, or even race-baiting for that matter.

It’s interesting that the Times would choose those words to describe this ad produced by Republicans, but not to describe Obama’s pastor himself who routinely employs conspiracy theories about “whitey” (like the US government creating HIV to kill blacks) to manipulate his congregation.

Which is, frankly, pretty shameful.

I wonder if the New York times bothered to watch this ad.

John McCain didn’t before he condemned it.

The Debate is over!  Global Whining has been confirmed.

Like I said before the left doesn’t care about these things.

Has anyone except the major networks, you know, the liberal media, run this ad?

Damn, you have a snotty attitude these days!

In my opinion, it’s a ham-handed effort and I would have asked to have it pulled too.

Besides about 10x as many people have viewed it because of this controversy (thanks NYT for helping), this way McCain gets the full benefit of the ad, with non of the tarnish that would otherwise have accompanied it.

The Times is facing “Hard Times” these days. They are going through a major scale down and will be laying off reporters and offering early buy out for others. Revenue is down and so is their readership. The same is happening to hard left papers all over the nation. The blogosphere is taking its toll and the NYTimes is lookin like the aging old queen in the gay pride parade, pathetic.

The NDGOP are not the race baiters.  Jeremiah Wright who hates whitey is the manipulative, shameful racebaiter.  And the fact that the New York Slimes attacked the add only gives me all the more reason to support it.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.
