New York Times Calls It For The Dems

Why even have an election? The Times knows who is going to win, and they’ve never been wrong before.
Meanwhile, in a dimension that is apparently running parallel to the one Times reporters are living in, the polls are tightening for Republicans. A just-released Pew poll shows the Democrat advantage falling from 11 points to 4 points. A Washington Post poll from earlier today showed the Democrat advantage going from 14 points to 6.
I’m told there’s a Gallup poll due out later tonight that could well show the tide swinging in favor of the Republicans as well.
I’m going to keep saying it: The reports about a Democrat “wave” re-taking Congress have been greatly exaggerated. I’ll be surprised if Democrats re-take either house of Congress.
Update: The Gallup poll is out, and it continues the trend set by the Washington Post and Pew polls released earlier today, showing a 7 point swing for Republicans since October 22nd and a 16 point swing for Republicans since October 8th. Previously Democrats led in this poll by 23 points on October 8th, now they lead by 7.
