I think I get Malia Lazu’s point. Here’s the question: If I pay taxes – whether as a documented or undocumented alien – should I qualify for a tax rebate check? As a centrist libertarian the answer is clear: “Yes.”
The problem with this whole exchange emanates from Neil Cavuto’s line of questioning. The Japanese have a great approach, namely, sometimes the best response to a question is to “un-ask” the question. I know what Mr. Cavuto is driving at about perpetuating a system that does not address the matter of undocumented aliens. However, you cannot address the main question merely by exploring a tangential issue.
As for the unkind descriptions of Ms. Laza and Ms. Pelosi, let me jump into the fray: I think Sarah Palin is really, really dumb and she is on the right.

Not sure why we should argue about this at all – guess if it is a dem’s plan the republicans have to oppose it and if it is a republican plan the dem’s have to oppose it. So much for reaching across to each other.
Yes there are some people paying taxes who are not here legally – funny though we take their tax money so why isn’t that illegal in itself?
So many families in America need help right now – can’t we just get the economy going and let immigration work on this other issue. Legal or Illegal the money will be put back into our economy and hopefully move things along.

I find it hard to imagine a Biden presidency being worse than an Obama presidency. Biden is unquestionably more intelligent, more experienced, and a better human being. Biden would be a huge step up.
