NDGOP Convention Update: Nancy Schafer/Drew Wrigley Endorse Kevin Cramer

In a surprise to the convention, former North Dakota first lady Nancy Schafer (wife of former Governor and US Ag Secretary Ed Schafer) endorsed House candidate Kevin Cramer from the stage.
The Governor has a long-standing practice of not endorsing candidates before they have the party’s nomination. Getting Nancy Schafer’s endorsement is a bit of a coup for Cramer as it implies Ed Schafer’s endorsement as well.
Berg, as evidenced by the amount of money he’s poured into the convention, is out to win this nomination. But a Schafer endorsement may be worth more than all of Berg’s signs and stickers.
What’s more, former US Attorney Drew Wrigley (whose return to the party after a long term in a non-partisan position has seemed to re-invigorate the party) gave Cramer’s seconding nomination.
