NDGOP Convention Update: Kevin Cramer Would Accept PSC Nomination

Kevin Cramer, who no more than a half an hour ago conceded the US House nomination to Rep. Rick Berg, told me in the hallway here in the convention center that while he hasn’t formally filed paperwork to run for the party nomination for his PSC seat he would accept a nomination from the floor if one were made.
And the consensus here on the floor is that he will be nominated.
Which is a good thing, as far as I’m concerned. If we can’t have Cramer representing us in Washington DC, let’s have him representing us here in North Dakota. And with the Democrats running an environmental leftist in Brad Crabtree for that seat, nominating Kevin would ensure that the NDGOP holds the seat.

    Brad Crabtree is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He will likely defeat Cramer. It’s time for Cramer to cash in and take a cushy lobbyist job.

    I have a sneaking suspicion that if Dalyrmple doesn’t run and Heidi runs for governor in 2012 we may once again see Ed Schafer run which will be a great thing for ND.

    of course he would. as ive been saying the whole time, who will he endorse for his seat? well, nobody. why? because he was so dedicated to this run……. after hovey declared….. he knew he needed a fall back.
