NDGOP Convention Update: If We Picked Candidates By Yard Signs…

…Rep. Rick Berg would be winning this nomination by a landslide. The roads driving up to the Alerus Center are lined with Berg signs. You enter the door, and a half a dozen Berg supporters try to put Berg stickers on you. The hallways are lined with Berg signs. In the convention hall, every seat has, on the back of it, a paper with the headline: “Berg Leads Pomeroy In Poll.”
It’s clear which nomination campaign had the most money to spend.
Last night I came across Rick Berg himself roaming the halls, and I made a comment about all the signs. His response to me? “I don’t do anything to lose.”
