ND Democrats Crying About Effective Ads Bashing Dorgan and Conrad’s Record

image

The North Dakota Democrat party is running an ad to rebut a campaign to link Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad to the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac situation. The ND Dems called it an hatchet job but could NOT refute any facts in the ad.
The radio ad against Dorgan and Conrad that I’m aware of is fairly clever. It’s purpose is letting the public know that Dorgan and Conrad received an huge amount of money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while those two quasi-government agencies were polluting the financial sector with their subslime mortgages. (sic)
This ad says that Dorgan and Conrad are leading the fight to expose financial institutions that messed up our economy. Gee, they must not be looking very hard, because it’s the idiots in the Senate and House of Representatives (mostly Democrats) that are to blame with their pushing bad loans and no standards on the housing industry.
The ad also said that Dorgan and Conrad are “speaking out” against high deficits. Gee isn’t that pathetic. I’m not in the Senate so it’s appropriate for me to speak out against the sky-high deficits. Dorgan and Conrad are in the senior leadership of the Senate and they’re only speaking out against it? What in the world are they there for?
The last Republican budget (fiscal year 2007) had a deficit of about $160 Billion. When the Democrats won the Congress they increased that budget to over $450 Billion. President Obama signed the fiscal year 2009 budget, passed by the Democrats which is expected by some to hit TWO TRILLION DOLLARS! That’s right Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad have contributed to multiply the budget deficit by a factor of 11%!
Finally this Dem rebuttal ad said that the ad exposing the stooges was paid for with out of state money. They claimed that that isn’t the way we do things in North Dakota. That’s hilarious considering Dorgan, Conrad and the North Dakota Democrat party is BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY OUT OF STATE INTERESTS.
Who do they think they’re fooling. Here’s a bit of advice. If the other guy is running an ad with accurate facts you only look silly trying to rebut it.
Oops, I almost forgot to include the pictures of Dorgan and Conrad.

Which home Jimmy, their dingy little apartments in Bismarck or one of their million dollar homes in the Washington DC area?

Here’s a picture of Conrad’s million dollar DC pad.

He also has a mansion on the beach in Maryland I believe.

Dorgan’s mansion is somewhere in the DC area as well.

there homes here of course. youd see day-after-day-after-day of nothing. it really would prove a solid point. THESE PEOPLE DONT LIVE HERE AND DONT CARE ABOUT ND. They only vote no when the liberals have enough votes to pass things thru (cap n trade is a great example).

in fact…… a LIVE webcam broadcast 24/7 showing their front doors here in ND would be THE BOMB on the ND GOP website. how many days woudl it last before DC security woudl require you to take it down? and THAT would be an even better story :)

How is it the commercial uses Democrat and non-partisan league in the same sentence? They are mutually exclusive terms.

i still think a commercial with a time lapse movie showing their ND ‘homes’ front doors would work wonderfully as well. these people dont live here.

credit to earl thou. at least he comes back now and then.

Whistler that was a funny article.

    Kevin,

The Nonpartisan League was a political party founded in ND in 1915 by a former Socialist Party activist. They’re the reason ND has a state bank and a state mill and elevator.

They merged with the state Democratic party in 1956.

When ND Democrats complain about “out of state” interests they should be laughed out of the room.
