ND Legislator Bette Grande Is Almost Certainly Running For House

PlainsDaiy.com reported back in early August that state Rep. Bette Grande was seriously considering a run for North Dakota’s open US House seat (incumbent Rick Berg is seeking the state’s open Senate seat).
There’s still no official announcement, but unofficially many expect her to run and indeed there’s online evidence that she’s readying herself for a campaign.
The domain name BetteGrande.com has been registered with registrar GoDaddy.com as of August 23rd of this year. Whoever registered it is using a proxy, but another domain BetteGrandeForHouse.com (which Rep. Grande used for her state House campaign) is registered to her husband Don Grande and was last updated on September 1st of this year despite not expiring until 2012.
My guess is that Rep. Grande will get into the race some time later this month.
Currently only Republican Public Service Commissioner Brian Kalk is in the House race, though has so far put up lackluster fundraising numbers and doesn’t seem to be garnering a whole lot of enthusiasm for his ran.
Democrats have yet to put forward an official candidate.
