Nancy Pelosi: We Won’t Cut Off Funds For The Troops, Or Maybe We Will…

An article about Nancy Pelosi promising not to cut off funds for the troops to end the war ended before the elections:

An article about Nancy Pelosi promising to cut off funds for the troops to end the war after the election:

WASHINGTON – Defiant Democratic leaders in the House are considering a proposal that would pay for the Iraq war at least through July but cut off funding after that if the Iraqi government does not meet certain political and security goals, congressional officials said Thursday.

Gotta love those campaign trail promises.
What’s frustrating is that so many people on the left, and in the media, insist that the last election was all about the war in Iraq (and not a bunch of corrupt Republicans who were governing like the conservatives Americans thought they elected). Yet here’s proof that Nancy had to mislead the American people as to her intent on Iraq in order to get her Democrats into office and herself into the Speaker’s seat.
The people don’t want a loss in Iraq, and the fact that the Democrats have to be so misleading about their attempts to choke the war to death by cutting off funding is proof positive of that.

Article 1 is from December 5th, which is post election.

Article 2 does not mention Pelosi.

You really don’t have a good argument on your hands.

Just pointing out the same as above… that December 5th is post-election. You want to make the argument that Democrats misled people on Iraq to get elected, you have to find an article from before the election.

Top Democrats Rebuff Calls To Cut Off War Funds

November 8th article referencing Pelosi’s past position not to cut off funds in Iraq.

The Democrats are flip flopping on Iraq. First they say they won’t cut off funds to end the war (something they said before and immediately after the election), now they’re doing just that.

    There’s no denying it.
