Which is almost as good as the time she explained how subsidized condoms and abortions were going to stimulate the economy before The One decided that they really wouldn’t.
What’s sad is that Pelosi and a lot of liberals actually believe that government health care subsidies for things like STD’s really stimulate the economy. And what’s scary is that this is the same reasoning they’ll use when it comes time to use government power to regulate what we eat and what we drink and what we do with our bodies and lives in general.
It’s already happening, in fact, and that’s the position we put ourselves in when we make ourselves dependent on the government for things like health care. The more government-provided health care we have the more leverage people like Pelosi are going to have to run every single aspect of our lives.
And if that sounds absurd to you, you aren’t paying close enough attention.
