My Debate Reactions
First, snooze fest. I think it’s time to seriously consider letting third party candidates in. If they’re on the ballot in enough states to win the election they should be in the debate I don’t care how marginal the media might think them. And then, maybe, we’d finally get something new.
Second, Obama must think that he can just keep repeating lies and they’ll become true. A tax cut for 95% of Americans? 47% of Americans have no income tax burden. Obama can’t give a tax cut for 95% of Americans. And since when has Obama proposed more spending cuts and spending increases?
Third, McCain is about the least inspiring candidate I’ve ever seen. He proposed what amounts to a $300 billion Treasury bill to “buy up” bad mortgages. And this guy is supposed to be a limited government Republican.
Fourth, McCain standing in front of Broakaw’s teleprompter and thus prompting the famous news reader to stop dead in his tracks was hilarious.
Finally, the idea that one of these two men is going to be President is depressing.
