Murtha: My Constituents Are Rednecks

Rep. Jack Murtha, still scrambling away from having called his own constituents racists a week ago, is now saying that his constituents are just confused, reformed rednecks.

CHARLEROI, Pa. — U.S. Rep. John Murtha is calling many of the people who put him in office “rednecks.”
The news comes one week after Murtha claimed the area is racist, then apologized for that comment.
In explaining his comments about racism, Murtha told WTAE it’s difficult for many in the area to change. Murtha said that just five to 10 years ago the entire area was “redneck.”
Now Murtha said only certain segments of the population are holding on to those racist feelings.

Sure. That explains it all. See, they were ignorant rubes. But they’re coming around now.
You know what the sad part is? This tool is probably going to win re-election. Handily.

    Pilgrim your above statement is proof Murtha doesn’t know what he is talking about. His constituents obviously are not rednecks. Rednecks wouldn’t be stupid enough to keep electing this idiot, that would take the foolishness of a liberal.

    The headline should read, “Bloated, Bloviating, Slimy, Backstabbing Politician Calls His Constituants Racists and Rednecks…But He Really, Really Didn’t Mean It.”

    I just call him a disgusting piece of excrement, I have no respect for this man, his comments about the Marines in Haditha was disgusting.
