MSNBC Advertises Oreos During Obama Speech

Some of you who watched Obama’s big “sweep Wright under the rug” speech this morning might have been greeted with this:

You could laugh, but then you’d be a racist.

Uh oh - someone at the MSNBC Ad Sales department is getting fired.

Too funny.

You had to take a picture of your screen, didn’t you?

There’s a way around that, but I can’t find the instructions at the moment.

You know what’s pathetically funny about it? Being concerned about what products are advertised or associated with his race?
What do we do if he becomes president… cease advertising all together? ‘Cause if so, there goes KFC, cotton clothing, watermelon flavor jolly ranchers etc. and the list is endless.
IMHO ... Dumb de dumb dumb dumb

Too funny.

OH My Gosh! I did not know that “Oreo” is a racist slur. I just thought they were really yummy cookies. Is it racist to like to eat them too? What does that mean? Is good or bad to be an oreo? Is it a white thing or a black thing?

Zsa Zsa on March 18, 2008 at 01:57 pm

Rob, I just heard from your mom and she had not heard that about oreos either.

Zsa Zsa on March 18, 2008 at 02:19 pm

LOL, exactly Zsa Zsa! The whole thing is ridiculous and as far as I am concerned an Oreo is just that… a flippin’ cookie for heaven sakes.
People need to relax and get over the whole racist hysteria.
Now, if y’all excuse me I’m a go eat some Oreo cookies and not feel guilty about it. Fact, to be brutially honest, I pull them apart and eat the white frosting and throw the black cookie away. SO SUE ME HUH?
Oh Puh..leeease
rolleyes

I have a lot of guilt eating them. BUT only because it is one of those thing I do if I am eating something that is yummy but not so good for me.

Zsa Zsa on March 18, 2008 at 02:36 pm

Hmmm. I’m staying at a Hilton Garden Inn and they left Oreos for me in the room.

I wonder if there’s some sort of hidden meaning here…

Time to eat the cookies…

electnixon on March 18, 2008 at 04:42 pm

Oreo discrimination is not a good thing… That would be awful if the Hilton was forced to not leave oreos for fear of a lawsuit or riot.

Zsa Zsa on March 18, 2008 at 05:38 pm

Sometimes they leave Lay’s potato chips instead of Oreos.

I eat the potato chips or the Oreos indiscriminately.

electnixon on March 18, 2008 at 05:44 pm

Oreo discrimination

Bwahahaha… lol, good one Zsa Zsa
wink

Gosh! IF I were at the Hilton and someone left Lays on the bed? I might think there was more of a hidden meaning there for sure! Yum, what great treats!

Zsa Zsa on March 18, 2008 at 05:57 pm

Rodney - PrintScreen Key then paste into a graphics program.

Ever try doing that with video?

You’ll see. There’s a detailed technical reason why you can’t.

Oreo may be a racial slur, but isn’t nearly as bad as those Pepperidge Farm Mulatto Cookies.

The words Oreo, Banana, Coconut and Watermelon all have political meanings now.
For a new usage I nominate the “Abba Zabba”, the candy bar that is white on the outside and brown on the inside. We can use it in reference to white liberals who have really drunk the Kool-aid.
