MoveOn.org Coordinates With Democrats “Daily”

After MoveOn.org slimed General Petraeus with the now-infamous “Betray Us” ad, Democrats were quick to distance themselves. They claimed that they didn’t have anything to do with the ad. Yet now the New York Times, of all places, reports that MoveOn.org and Congressional Democrat leaders get together on daily conference calls to “coordinate efforts.”

MoveOn representatives also take part, as co-founders of a coalition of antiwar groups together under the umbrella Americans Against Escalation in Iraq, in a daily conference call with the Democratic leadership staff on Capitol Hill to coordinate efforts.

Sixty-five years ago it would have been unimaginable for any but the most radical, marginalized political group to call General Eisenhower a traitor. Yet today it comes from a group with bonds so tight to the Democrats that they get daily access to the party’s legislative leadership.

Somehow I have the impression that it is against election law for a PAC to coordinate their activities with the political parties. Does this have the look of coordination between Moveon and the Dem’s party? Where is the Federal Election Commission on this? Is the Moveon PAC violating tax and other charters that the law set in place when PACs were allowed in the 1980′s? Hello, FEC.

Golfm, there were treasonous persons opposed to our involvement in WWII (Lindberg was one) and blamed our country of Pearl Harbor because of the oil embargo against Japan. The difference between now and then was that back then treason was treated as a crime and now its a free speech privilegs.
