Not the sort of news we normally cover here at Say Anything, but Freeman is one of those actors you just can’t help but like.

According to WMC TV’s website…
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Ben Williams said Freeman, 71, and a female passenger were traveling eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 around 11:30pm in Tallahatchie County when his vehicle went off the edge of the road. Freeman overcorrected, flipping his 1997 Nissan Maxima several times before coming to a rest.
I love the kind of guy who can be acting at Morgan Freeman’s level of fame and success, and still be driving a crappy 11-yr old Nissan. Not that Maximas aren’t nice cars, mind you…

Morgan Freeman was (and is) one of those people that will make me watch a movie. The fact that he was driving a ‘97 Nissan made an already cool guy a level cooler.
It sounds rather eccentric.
I read where a dang ghoulish motorist, along with many others rushing to the scene to see the actor trapped while rescuers were extracting Freeman with the Jaws-Of-Life, took his picture in the car with a phone camera. Wherein Freeman said humorously, “No freebies, no freebies!”
No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.
I pray that his injuries are not too serious. Couldn’t agree more that he is one fine actor with a voice that is instantly recognizable. Get well soon, Morgan.
