More Limousine Liberal Global Warming Hypocrisy
This time from Sting’s wife, who apparently actually has a last name unlike her husband.
Trudie Styler, wife of Sting and self-styled eco-warrior, recently took a helicopter to travel 80 miles from Wiltshire to Devon, a journey that would have taken less than two hours by train.
The actress and film producer is forever harping on about saving the environment, having set up the Rainforest Campaign in the late 1980s with her pop star husband.
The Stings are known for eating only organic food, supposedly grown on their land, although one member of staff recently admitted to serving up nonorganic salad from the supermarket.
As I’ve said before, I’ll give up my GMC Yukon when folks like Trudie Styler (or Al Gore or Arianna Huffington) give up their private jets, gigantic mansions and chauffeured limos. Which means that I’ll never have to give it up, because these limousine liberals have no intention of really changing their own lifestyles. Oh they’ll follow the latest fads and buy hybrids and carbon offsets and organic fuels, etc. but ultimately they don’t mean for their lavish lifestyles to change much. Just our more ordinary lifestyles.

That is socool that you have an ice house, Rob! When I go there I have got to see that!
If you get Rims I’ll personally drive up (in my camry) and kill you.
You drive a Yukon???
Might I ask why?
Cool. I’ll buy those reasons.
But I’ll ask the same question to the single black men here in north carolina, who have no families to carry, no trailers to haul, and no blizzards to comepete with, but drive Yukons and Expeditions anyway…
But they DO have those really cool 24″ chrome hub-caps that keep spinning, even after the vehicle has stopped.
AND it is made in America! Do you have an ice house? Cool…
I say to scratch their prized belonging a little bit: some modern redesign… muhahahaha
Does anyone know of cheap limousine places in or around New Bedford MA?
I feel its no one else’s business what I consume if I pay for it with my money. I drive an Expedition myself. I pulled two small cars out of the ditch this winter just to be a “nice” guy. Hell, I even helped a cop out of a snowbank during the last storm. Try that with a Prius.
of course they are all working only for their own publicity and popularity! saving the world sounds great, but no one is ready to change the life of comfort..
Rob…Just as long as Sting doesn’t get ecoli from all that organically grown food, He can go in a helicopter or ride in a limo. BUT AL Gore can’t get away with it because he just doesn’t have what Sting has. I really like Sting! OK?
The best we can hope is that we each put more back into the environment than we take out. And helicopters are one of man’s greatest achievements often providing a vital and efficient means of transportation. Greenpeace own several!
You don’t realize it? but with posts like this you are just making publicity to all this hypocrites this is why they use helicopters and other stuff so they can assure we will talk about them.
costa rica travel
Because I live in North Dakota, and the blizzards we get make having a 4×4 in the family a necessity for safe transportation.
Because it’s big, so I can fit my whole family in it.
Because it gets decent gas mileage for a vehicle it’s size (I average 20.1mpg on the highway).
Because it’s versatile so I can haul trailers when I need to, pull my ice house out on the lake, pull the four wheelers about, etc.
All sorts of reasons, really. It’s just a nice vehicle. I love it.
Well I don’t have any rims or anything. With some of the off-roading I do I’d ruin ‘em.
The only addition I made is a GPS mounted to the windshield…but that just got stolen the other night…
Sigh, there’s crime even up here in paradise…
Feh. Idle threat. It’s much too cold up here for you southerners.
Well, I don’t have an ice house right now…there was a little incident a year back where it got frozen about a foot down into the ice and I nearly lost it. So I got rid of that now and I’m looking for something a little lighter…
As thought I have time to ice fish any more…
