More Workers Signing Up For Food Stamps And Disability Than Getting Jobs

Obama’s economy:

But remember, any suggestion that America might have a problem with accelerating government dependency, pushing us to a point where we have more “takers” in the economy than “makers” means you might just hate America or something.

Because Obama said it was the government’s job. And the government failed.

  • Harold

Lots of people don’t want to work at all that is a fact and we all know it. However, if a person becomes disabled, most companies won’t even give them a chance at a job and that stops some from finding work. I don’t know where the line is between being lazy and no one willing to hire a disabled worker is, but if we want to put people back to work they gotta have someone willing to hire them.

(“My job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”)Not the working poor idiot..The generational democratic plantation welfare slaves LBJ created.
      As he so eloquently stated:
They will be voting Democrat for the next 200 years…

Why should Romney worry about trying to “win over” the
      generational leftist base?

    • robert108

Anything to distract from the truth about obama’s welfare state policies and his foreign policies that have enabled and triggered worldwide jihad.

      • davo

Mitt Romney’s trying to distract you from that truth?

  • Davoarid

When Romney states that the working poor “don’t take responsibility for their lives,” how are you construing it?
America has a lot more workers than it does bosses. I don’t think they appreciate being told that they’re not taking any responsibility in their lives. It’s just not a nice thing to say to half the country.

    • $8194357

      (the working poor)

These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect. And he’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean that’s what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people—I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.

          • Davo

“My job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.” –Mitt Romney, to the 47% of Americans who don’t pay income tax.

Would you spend money trying to get Romney to vote for Obama?

IMO many will vote republican rather than stay on food stamps. There is many who would rather not take charity .

Isn’t it odd that the stock market has all but recovered it’s pre 2008 value and dividend payments have returned to almost the same quarterly amounts as pre 2008, at least ours have, and none of these companies have rehired laid off workers or created any new jobs to replace those eliminated and blamed on the recession?
