Moonbats With Press Passes

Ever wonder how Code Pink moonbats get into Presidential speeches? Like the one that heckled President Bush on the Fourth?  LGF points to a Kossack who brags about making phony press passes for them!

Ever since I figured out how to duplicate Medea’s (Benjamin) press pass for other members of CodePink, I have been doing so with her blessing. Since Medea is the founding director and CEO of Global Exchange as well as one of the founders of CodePink, how I implemented it may be a bit of a hack; but it is quite legitimate insofar that yes, these are valid press passes for a news organization, created with the full knowledge and permission of the company director.

Sounds to me like maybe the Secret Service needs to do better background checks on those claiming to be members of the Fourth Estate!

Your not kidding.

If someone who had a illegal press pass got in due to the forgery, and got that close to the President before being put in check - this could very well have ended badly if it was someone intent on killing the president, whether it is some nutcase or terrorist.

If I was the president, I would be lighting a fire under some people’s butts.

And, I would have the Secret Service pay a visit to the person forging passes.

Bragging about making false documents. Not too smart. Then again, what do you expect from leftards.

If Bush is not the most popular guy in the world right now, it certainly is not due to the whackjobs at Code Pink.  These loons are really stirred up right now because, at least with respect to Iraq and Afghanistan, war just might have been the answer.  Further, if you can believe anything Obama says, they might have to start attending his shindigs--the chosen one seems to be slipping into his war panties as he slithers towards the middle.

I can’t believe you don’t know who Gannon/Guckert is.

FOIAdocuments reveal that Gannon signed in on many occasions, but neversigned out, reports John Byrne in an exclusive report on Raw Story.

Gannon akaJames Guckert appeared more than 200 times at the White House as a fakereporter in 2 years and attended 155 of 196 White House pressbriefings, reports Raw Story. Since Gannon was previously employed as amale prostitute, questions naturally arise regarding the nature of hisovernight stays at the White House.

“On at least fourteenoccasions, Secret Service records show either the entry or exit timemissing,” Raw Story continues. “Generally, the existing entry or exittimes correlate with press conferences; on most of these days, therecords show that Guckert checked in but was never processed out.”

Dubya sure seems to know who he is.

I think its good. Keeps old “W” on his toes.

Since old “W” isn’t going to be there much longer, your “thinking” doesn’t value the safety of the President of the United States, regardless of party.

WOOF’s example just re-enforces my point: Not just any twit should be able to wander into a Presidential event. To Jeff Gannon’s credit, to my knowledge he never exhibited moonbat behavior.

WOOF: DO you know if Gannon was ever subject to a background check?

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Feb 11, 2005 | Before abruptly quitting his post this week as White House correspondent for the GOP-friendly group Talon News, Jeff Gannon enjoyed unfettered access to White House briefings. He gained that access not by going through the normal full background check most journalists face when obtaining a “hard pass,” the ultimate White House credential, but rather by getting day passes, which require only an abbreviated background check. According to one current member of the White House press corps, Gannon was the only reporter to skirt the rules that way, obtaining daily passes month after month for nearly two years.

“Why did the White House circumvent the process for him?” asks the White House reporter.

...The White House press office continues to be non-responsive to Salon’s questions about the credentialing process and Guckert’s apparent ability to rig the system. At Thursday’s daily press briefing, White House press secretary Scott McClellan fielded several questions on the issue. He told reporters that Guckert had “never applied for a hard pass. He had a daily pass.” Guckert’s ineligibility for a hard pass—the likely reason he never applied—was left unmentioned.
To receive a hard pass, a journalist must submit a letter confirming that he or she works for a legitimate news organization, lives in the D.C. area, and needs access to the White House for regular news stories. But before the White House will send the request along to the Secret Service for a background check, the journalist must also confirm having received accreditation to cover Capitol Hill. Without Hill credentials, the White House will not forward a hard-pass application. Gannon had no such credentials.
