Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty Goes Fishing, Complains About How His Wife Won’t Have Sex With Him

Which is awkward, but still better than getting your $82,000/year hooker bill made public.

I hear guys make jokes like that all the time.  It’s just that usually those guys aren’t Governors who are on the short list for Vice President.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

An unfortunate ‘misspeak’ by Tim.  He is a great guy, with a great (smart, former judge) wife.  The left has put this thing all over the web and the local Mpls rag - liberal mouthpiece - the Strib - is playing it to its fullest.

I like him, but I hope he’s not the VP.  He’s needed in MN, the democrats there will eat the Lt VP for lunch - Carol Malnau.

Only time most guys joke like that is when it’s not true.. after all, what guy would openly admit his manliness is ignored at home?
May I suggest to Mr Pawlenty, a crash course in publicity mannerism, if he plans of moving on up

Obama calls his mother a “typical white person” and implies that she’s racist (despite being his legal guardian for a significant portion of his life) and the press just shrugs.

Pawlenty makes a stupid joke that anyone with two brain cells will take as a joke and the media and other democrats fire up the klaxon implying that he’s “discuss[ing] his sex life” and denigrating his wife.  (I can see where that might be taken that way, but it’s clear to me that Pawlenty was making an awkward attempt at self-deprecating humor.)

In one instance the speaker is being serious and in the other the speaker is being jocular and yet we’re to take the jocular one seriously and ignore the comments of the serious one.  Got it.

He was dissrespectful and his comment lacked class.  period.  It shouldn’t matter if the comment comes from this side or that side. If Obama said the same thing, it would also be dissrespectful and without class.  We have to stop with the “yeah, but they said this and no one said anything..so it’s ok”....

Lame is lame, and that was a lame comment.  I am sure if he could rewind the tape he would not say it..but he did.

brad,

No one said, “so it’s ok”.  We’re just pointing out the double standard from the media (for the Nth time).  If anything, you should be taking your complaint to the MSM who will excuse just about anything from a Democrat as they have with Obama.  Or do you think Obama’s comments about his grandmother (who raised him) are “classy”?
