Milton Friedman On Limited Government
The best case ever made for limited government.
Is it my imagination that people in the media and public discourse are getting dumber all the time?
This Friedman fellow, his arguments are well-conceived and concisely delivered. I assume there was no teleprompter involved.
When was the last time such a span of uninterrupted discussion took place on the TV?
Greg, if you enjoy Friedman, have you read Freedom to Choose? (I think that’s the name...long time)
I believe Friedman attended London School of Economics. My oldest nephew just graduated from there.
Greg,
If you are not familiar with Milton Frieman, and his wife Rose, also a Univeristy of Chicago economist, do yourself a favor and get a copy of their book, “Free To Choose.” It is a breathtakingly easy read, unlike any economics book you may have ever read previously, and it is in my humble opinion an essential which should be required reading for every high school and college student in the country.
Thanks for seconding the motion, BatOne. Everything he writes or says seems to be logical, practical, viable, sensible, and not just the rambling of an overeducated faux intellectual, as we see too often.
I believe Rose was co-author of that book, right Batty?
Oh, excuse me. I tend to skim your posts quickly and note you had already mentioned that.
It’s always great to see my Main Man, Milt Friedman. He and Rose worked for FDR during the New Deal, so they know the reality of that bogus piece of ____. By modern standards, Milt and Rose are original neocons. They were lefties who saw the light.
