Michelle Obama: “We’re In A Huge Recovery”
“We are seeing right now that we are in the midst of a huge recovery,” the First Lady told a radio show today. “Right? Because of what this president has done.”
She added that the President had “pulled this economy from the brink of collapse when we were losing 800,000 jobs a month. Now we’re gaining every — throughout most of his presidency, we’ve been adding jobs to this economy because of what he’s been doing.”
In rebuttal, I present the civilian employment ratio, which is the number of Americans not in jail or the military with jobs as a percentage of the overall population.
That doesn’t look like recovery, “huge” or otherwise.
